What causes icons to disappear from the desktop?
This is likely a fairly disharmful related problem. It can though deal with enumerable possibilities. I nearly always recommend for one to review what has recently been downloaded and verify that no unwanted changes have been made, if so it could be malware. It is probably though the effect of a secondary program such as: Multiple windows, Remote Desktop, mixed settings, etc. Largely attempts to turn off the computer may help as it removes all user activity and stops the current programs that are running. If the problem persists yet you see still no activity of malware it is possible the actual Registry has been changed for the display. If so you may respond.
In computing, booting (also known as "booting up") is a bootstrapping process that starts operating systems when the user turns on a computer system. A boot sequence is the initial set of operations that the computer performs when power is switched on. The boot loader typically loads the main operating system for the computer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The computer word boot is short for "bootstrap" (itself short for "bootstrap load"). The term bootstrap derives from the idiom: to pull oneself up by one's bootstraps.[1] The term refers to the fact that a computer cannot run without first loading software but must be running before any software can be loaded, which seems as impossible as to "pull yourself up by your own bootstraps

Why does your MP4 say no free space when it is new?
It likely needs to be formatted. Most MP4 Players need to be formatted to FAT32 (or FAT16). If you format them to NTFS in Windows XP, they may show you an error that indicates no free space (which would require a FAT32/16 reformat to remedy).
It is a style.
When you push the power button on your computer what happens?
the press of a button activates a switch, connected to this button (in fact - the button is the switch). This allows electricity to flow and refer to the memory cell, with which this button is connected. Then the information from this memory cell comes to processor via control device. The control device sends it to processor's input device and processor processes it with the processing unit. After processing the information becomes a command and then the ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit) in processor performs it. After a command is executed it becomes an information to display on computer's monitor. The information goes to the output device in processor and then flows by bus to VGA. VGA shows the image on a monitor.

Difference between service pack and service pack 3 of windows xp?
Service Pack 2 (SP2) was released on August 6, 2004 after several delays, with a special emphasis on security. Unlike previous service packs, SP2 adds new functionality to Windows XP, including an enhanced firewall, improved Wi-Fi support with a wizard utility, a pop-up ad blocker for Internet Explorer, and Bluetooth support. It also includes a new API to allow third party virus scanners and firewalls to interface with a new security center application, which provides a general overview of security on the system. This helps to suppress spyware and viruses. Other features include enhancements to the Internet Connection Firewall (ICF), now the Windows Firewall (which is also turned on by default), advanced memory protection that takes advantage of the NX instruction that is incorporated into newer processors to stop buffer overflow attacks, removal of raw socket support (which has caused a drop in "zombie" machines: infected computers that can be used remotely to launch denial of service attacks), improvements to e-mail and web browsing, and Windows Movie Maker 2. Movie Maker 2 has a new interface and more transitions, video effects and options. A full list of service fixes and modifications in SP2 is available on Microsoft's website. When the service pack was released some programs did stop working, and Microsoft officially listed several of them on its website. The company AssetMetrix reports that one out of ten computers that upgraded to SP2 had severe compatibility problems with their applications. SP2 also includes major updates to Windows XP Tablet PC Edition and Windows XP Media Center Edition, and supports 24 new languages. There were also some visual changes made with Service Pack 2. On the opening screen (where it says Microsoft Windows XP with the three scrolling squares), the "(C)1985-2001" designation at the bottom was removed, and the edition name was removed (e.g. "Home Edition" or "Professional"). In addition, the Wireless Network Connection Icon, which used to show two computer symbols (like the LAN Connection Icon) now shows just one, with a radio wave symbol on the right side. While well received in general, Service Pack 2 was not without its critics. Thomas Greene from The Register claimed that SP2 was merely a placebo of sorts in terms of features, fixes, and security updates: "While we found that there are indeed a few minor improvements worthy of acknowledgment, in particular, some rather low-level improvements that don't show to the admin or user, overall, SP2 did little to improve our system's practical security, leaving too many services and networking components enabled, bungling permissions, leaving IE and OE vulnerable to malicious scripts, and installing a packet filter that lacks a capacity for egress filtering."

If you have two different printers attached to a computer you need what?
I can answer your question for Microsoft Windows operating system.
I am not a Macintosh user, so I can only offer intelligent guesses for a Mac, but I suspect you are using a Windows machine.
Also, I have extremely limited experience with Windows Vista operating system (and strongly advise against using Vista), so again, I can only offer intelligent guesses.
When you go to print a document from Windows you use the following Menu selections:
FILE
At which point a Pop-up window appears, labeled "Print" at the top.
The first region of the window is labeled "Printer", and it has a line labeled "Name". This refers to the name of the printer, and has a drop-down menu associated with it. Click on the down arrow at the far right of the drop-down menu and you will see a list of all the printers that are installed for use by your PC. Here is where you chose which printer your document will be sent to.
There is a "Properties" button to the right of the drop-down menu. You can use this to set various properties of the printer, such as telling a color printer to print in only black-and-white, or to use Landscape or Portrait mode for the orientation on the paper; and lots of other stuff that you shouldn't play with yet until you've had more experience. (Or asked more questions--next time say what operating system you are using and my answers can be more focused.)
For a Mac, there is probably a similar way to select the printer name once you have issued a PRINT command.
An additional note: If your PC is connected to a telephone modem, you can send FAXes with the PRINT command. You can install FAX software, and use FAX as one of your Printer options. (You can also receive FAXes, but that is a different discussion for a different day.)
If you have installed the FAX software, Click the START button in the lower left corner of the screen, and from this menu select "Help and Support". When you get the Help and Support window, find the SEARCH area near the top of the screen and search for "FAX". I am using Windows XP, and the result of my search gives me seven topics, including "Using Fax" which provides the information for installing the FAX capability.
Good Luck,

What are the disadvantages of cce?
The most basic point is that CCE can prove to be dangerous because students will take studies casually. If there won't be any competition all students won't study sincerely. Our education system needed improvement but such a random change would never help instead it will do the opposite. If the same system would have been introduced gradually it would have been better. But now most of the students have come to think that acting smartly in front of the teacher is the key to success. Studies are taken as secondary. As a result scores are dropping in all schools. Also teachers are getting more powers which they can always use unfairly and to some extent "partially".
