User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

No. That would be an Equinox.

The solstice is when the earth is tilted at maximum angle, (23 1/2 degrees) from the plane of the orbit around the sun. Either north or south pole is closer. The exact difference of night and day will vary depending on where you are on earth.

Where can you purchase winter clothing during the summer?

User Avatar

Asked by Parshall2marshall

Buying Winter Clothes Off-Seasonhave you thought about consignment shops? Go online and check out eBay and other sites. You may find some really good clearance items.

It's really hard to find winter clothing when it's summer.I know that hollister, old navy, and other clothing brands sell summer clothing in the winter. So you should be able to find a store that does sell winter clothing in the summer.

There are some great on-line clothing stores out there, I came across http://www.surfdiveskate.com.au and they had a heap of discounted winter stock selling over last summer. Really fast delivery, I had a jacket for an overseas trip in 2 days.

When is autumn in India?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

In the sense of leaves falling from trees, there is no Autumn in India. At this point of the year , they have at the start the Monsoon season. (Hot & wet), towards the end of Autumn their Monsoon season changes to a cool dry period.

NB THe word 'Monsoon' means 'season' in the Hindi language.

In India, they tend to have three seasons. A cool dry period, followed by an increasing hot dry period, followed by the hot wet period (Monsoon). They the cool dry period recommences.

What is the best time of year to transplant rhubarb?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Black raspberries should be topped during the summer month when they attain 36-inches in height. Trim back 3 to 4-inches of new growth. This encourages the development of lateral branches and increases the strength of the cane. During dormancy, remove all dead, damaged, and weak canes. Lateral branches should be trimmed back to 4 to 7-inches.

Why ground water is cool in summer and hot in winter?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

In any given area temperature below ground surface changes to a subtle degree, but that does not affect water's temperature. Actually, it's the air in the atmosphere that tends to change its temperature both in summer and winter. So, in summer, your hands are warm already and when you touch the groundwater, you find it cold. But in winter (esp, chilly ones) your hands are cold and you find that same water warm.

Generally speaking, earth gets warmer and warmer as you travel down to its core and is hottest at its core.

Hope that helps.

Difference between get and bring?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It depends on what the dog has been taught it means. Working and competition dogs are often taught both a formal and informal retrieve command. One is used for playing the game of fetch, where form doesn't matter, and the other is used when the dog must pick up an item no matter what and must do it in a certain way. For example, if I tell my older dog to "get it" (his fetch command) and he gets tired, then it is fine for him to lie down and rest instead. But if I tell him to "take it" (his working command) he must pick it up and put it in my hand no-matter-what. I never use the formal command for play, only when I really really need him to pick something up for me because of my disability. For some, "bring" is a command to something/one who already has something in their possession:" Bring it to me" while "Fetch" is used when you don't think that the one you are commanding has the object you want; in other words the full command would be "Go and fetch it"
