In the Italian pro league players are payed just enough to get by (without any sponsership deals) your looking at about the equivelent of €600- so about £400- a week. Well when you throw the ball you need to throw it quite hard and spin the ball backwards and throw it down. If you throw it too flat then it will merely skim the surface, instead of skipping it. Some people find it easier to use a flat ball, like myself.
Beach volleyball matches are played as the best of 3 sets. The first 2 sets are played to 21 and, if a third set is required, it is played to 15. Of course, the team must win by 2 points so you may see higher scores but this is the standard scoring for beach volleyball play.
