The Sierra Nevada Red Fox was thought to be extinct, but a positive identification was made from a photograph and DNA samples from a bait bag that at least one is present in a remote mountainous area of California. Since the previous last known Sierra Nevada red fox was identified back around 1920 and foxes don't live for over a hundred years, the assumption is that there must be a small population of them somewhere out in the mountains of California.

How does sleeping during the daytime help a bat to survive?
Most bats are insectivores which means they eat insects. The particular insects they eat fly at night so it only makes sense that the bat keeps the same schedule.
Flying foxes (a large bat) eats fruit and is active during the day.
How many times a day does a bat eat?
Bats normally eat during the night, or begin at dusk. Bats are nocturnal and almost always feed during the night. Unless feeding a pup, they will stay out most of the night feeding. They might return to rest a couple of times, to help digest their food, depending on the species, after feeding for prolonged periods, then go back out to feed again. Returning to their roost before the dawn. The females that are raising young, will return to nurse their young pup several times, to every couple of hours, usually depending on the general overallhealth of the mother, the abundance of the food source, and the species. you can either get an item called the sleeve which protects your bat a little. or you could do what i do and get a cheap woden bat that cost just as much as the sleeve (same heigt and weight as the bat your trying to protect) and you can use that in the batting cage and your regular bat in games.

Bats can reconise their own echos. Does this make them self-aware?
Quite possibly. There is actually new research being done suggesting that bats can recognize themselves in a mirror. Contrary to popular belief, bats actually have incredible vision, and can see very well. Some experiments have been done that have placed bats in front of a mirror. Female bats in particular were observed looking at themselves in the mirror and grooming their hair while doing so. So, it is possible that bats do have self-awareness.
yes they can be Venuses because some have vertebrates so that makes them Venuses.
