When i was still in high school, i had to go home sick because i wasn't feel good. When i got home i laid in my bed and about twenty mins later i tried to get up to get something to drink and i couldn't move my legs. it was the scariest thing, it was like that for about 4 hours. I know that someone had to of drugged me during class or something. Sad that the world has come to this.

But I'll tell you what it was like for my teenage son to receive chemo through his spine: A lumbar puncture (LP) was performed several times during his months of chemotherapy. Each LP consisted of draining spinal fluid to test for the presence of cancer cells (he had lymphoma) and to administer chemotherapy directly into his spine. Before the procedure, he was given drugs to sedate him and to help him forget the procedure. Nurses held my son's knees up while he laid on his side while the doctor was performing the LP. The procedure itself never lasted very long (less than 15 minutes). Afterwards, my son usually slept and sometimes had a headache.

It really depends on the individual. How bad off they are, what they are getting the chemo to treat, etc.. So it wouldn't be a fair statistic to group all chemo patients together based just solely on the fact they are receiving chemo

Seroquel has been known to weaken the immune system so it is not recommended to take Seroquel during chemotherapy treatments. If the patient is not in the proper medical state and is considered a danger to themselves (schizophrenia, manic-depressive disorder, etc.) then it can be prescribed, but it is a beta-blocker and the patients have been known to develop phenomena while being on this medication.

Good question! I'm a breast cancer survivor myself, and I had my hairdresser shave my head the day after my first chemotherapy treatment. I believe you're more "traumatized" watching your hair fall out.
