How do you stop liking chocolate?

  • You simply stop eating & buying!
  • Cut down and have something like hot cocoa once in a while.
  • Don't have it in the house in the morning.
  • Replace the old behaviour with another behaviour ... in this case another (better) food.
  • Why stop? Just get your chocolate in a nutritious form - rich chocolaty Ovaltine, SlimFast shakes, Yoplait Chocolate Raspberry Yogurt, etc.
  • If it is a problem - go see a hypnotherapist and remove your unwanted habit. Look up National Guild of Hypnotists on the web to find a certified and capable hypnotherapist. It will cost you around 100 - 200 USD.
  • As a chocoholic, I find it extremely difficult. With 30 pages worth of food allergies, I try to "pretend" I am allergic to chocolate. It doesn't always work, but you can surely give it a shot.
  • Put down the chocolate! Throw it out. Ask yourself what it is going to do for you. It may taste good and feel good to treat yourself, but there is guilt or regret afterwards. Find something you like to do, non-food related and do that so you have no time to eat the chocolate.
  • Many people find that after 3-4 days on a low carbohydrate eating plan they lose the cravings for chocolate, sugar and bakery products. It is a paradox, but it is actually easier to do without them entirely than to eat just a little bit.

Is Galaxy chocolate suitable for vegetarians?

Yes, but it contains dairy products so is unsuitable for vegans.

The plain chocolate bar is labelled suitable for vegetarians (in the smallest, most difficult to find writing possible) but some of the other types are not labelled as such so I would be wary of them.

Allegedly, the bars do have a "Suitable for Vegetarians" writing on them, but it's insanely difficult to find.

Is toblerone kosher?

Those are chocolate treats that all persons could consume.

In terms of kosher certification, it depends on the place of manufacture. Usually, European companies do not use kosher facilities while American companies do. If the toblerone is kosher it will be kosher-dairy and have a hechsher (symbol of kosher-ness). If it does not bare a hechsher, a religious Jew will not eat it.

How long does it take for a dog to die after eating chocolate?

Maybe, because chocolate is poisonous to dogs. When it happens, think of how much chocolate your dog has eaten. If your dog has ate lots of chocolate, your dog needs immediate help. If not much, call your dog's vet for more information. Always call your dog's vet if your dog has ate chocolate (any amount). So, your dog might not die automatically

Is there gluten in dark chocolate?

No, chocolate does not contain gluten.

If you are a celiac, the gluten which affects celiacs is the protein found in wheat, barley, rye, and triticale. It is typically found in oats, too, due to cross-contamination in wheat sources. Even if you are not a celiac, you really don't have to be concerned.

Chocolate is a completely different plant. It is not a grain, like the plants listed above, and its 'fruit' is in bean form. It's from this that chocolate candy is made.

Certain candies may contain wheat components. There are some candy bars, for instance, which have cookies or cookie bits in them. THOSE would most likely have gluten.

The purer the chocolate you purchase, the less chance of contamination.

To digress a bit, I myself am not only a celiac, I am also highly allergic to dairy and corn, as well as all parts of the wheat (there is a difference between having a gluten intolerance and a wheat allergy! HUUUGE difference! Celiac/ gluten intolerance would cause stomach issues - like vomiting or "other" issues; an allergy can cause anaphylactic shock!) I purchase the Lindt 80 - 90% cocoa bars because they do not contain wheat or dairy, nor corn syrup as many candies do. They are a bit more expensive but you need far less to satisfy a chocolate craving!

So, no - chocolate DOES NOT contain gluten. If you have more questions about celiac, allergies, or chocolate, I am not an expert, but having lived with extensive food allergies my whole life, I can at least answer a few questions on the topic!!
