To deodorize a garbage disposal you can either put some baking soda in the drain and let it sit for a while or my favorite is to run lemon peels through the disposal after you do the dishes every night. You can use orange peels, too. Just make sure the pieces are small enough to run through without clogging it.

Soap may be unsuitable. Try mixing 1 part water with 3 parts white vinegar. Works great, the smell does not last long. I like windex but instead of using a cloth towel try and use an old piece of news paper. If you are cleaning anything real dirty in the future you should use Dawn dish soap...it is the best product out there for cleaning materials...just dilute some in a bucket of warm water and go at it...it is better than any cleaning product out there :)

Another cause is if you have the exhausted water plumbed to the main drain line without a trap the smell can come from the area around the washer. A way to help reduce this is to wash your white clothes last, the bleach and hot water you use can help reduce the smell.

The easiest method to use is to pour 1/2 c. baking soda down the drain and follow it with 1c. of white vinegar. Let it set for several minutes while you boil some water. Pour the boiling water down the drain and flush the drain throuroughly. This is the method I use most often and it works well to clean it, get rid of smells and get it running more smoothly again. If you have a double sink you should clean both drains. Another method is to put a tablespoon of bleach in a gallon of water, pour it down the drain, let it sit for several minutes and flush the drain with cold water. I don't think this works nearly as well. You can also use ice cubes and citrus rinds to help clean the blades and the citrus rinds will give you a nice, fresh scent.

Lay the stained area on top of a clean dry white towel. Apply water to the ink stain and blot with another clean white cloth, removing the stain as you blot.

Apply your normal liquid laundry detergent onto the ink stain and allow the garment to sit for 3-5 minutes.

Wash in the warmest water that the fabric can tolerate.

Before drying, double check to make sure the ink stain was removed, if not, repeat the previous steps until it is.

you should be able to find a button on your TV remote that will turn the sap function on/off. also,your TV instruction manual should contain some information on this. failing that ,contact the manufacturer of your TV set & tell them of your problem.

Try simulating a "power failure" for your TV by leaving it turned on and unplugging it from the outlet. This may reset the MTS (multi-channel television sound) to the "stereo" position. It could possibly be coming from the drain. There is water in the drain that goes to your septic or holding tank even city sewer that stays in the pipe acting as a plug to prevent the odor from coming up. Same as an elbow on a sink drain. If that water evaporated or somehow drained, then your drain now has a direct contact to the sewer/septic. Imagin it being like a snorkle connecting the sewer gas to your basement. If this is your problem the fix is easy. Simply pull the floor drain cap up, usually two or three screws. Pull out any debris that may have gotten down in there. Pour a few gallons of water down the drain. You should see water in the drain at all times, but still pour a few gallons down. Your creating a plug between your basement and the sewer. After this is done, vent the room with fans. Wait a few hours and see if the smell is gone. If it's still there you may have a bigger problem. Call a plumber who can narrow down the causes in just a few minutes. ALSO, maybe just check around with a flash light, you might find the source of the smell is simply a dead mouse!
