What differentiates Wegmans Food Market from other grocery stores?
Wegmans is way ahead of all its competitors because of the total experience it offers during each shopping trip. I think the main thing is the lighting. Instead of surgical flourescent lighting like most stores (Harris Teeter), Wegmans offers lighting that, while still easy to see, would be okay for a get together with friends. Also, their generic brand and fresh products they make are excellent. The way the products are packaged and marketed too, make for a visually stimulating shopping experience. Everything is so innovative. Also, while the prices aren't as low as Walmart, you don't feel like you are getting ripped off. You feel like you are paying the right price for a good product. I don't live near a Wegmans currently, but on a recent trip I stopped into one, I just happened upon something as simple as Wegmans BBQ sauce, the ingredients contain real sugar, not HFCS, which every other generic and name-brand sauce contains. So just little details like that, plus the fact that they try and stock local products and produce much more than any other chain I have ever been too.
Another thing that differentiates Wegmans from other grocery stores is their outstanding selection of loose-leaf teas. Not only is Wegmans unusual in that it sells bulk tea by weight in a self-serve section, but their teas are unparalleled in price and quality, and even hold their own against many specialty tea retailers.

In 1962, four new retailers were born. One called Kmart was started in Garden City, Michigan, another called Target was started in Minneapolis, another from Woolworth, the big name in retailing at the time, called Woolco was started, and the final one in rural Rogers, Arkansas, called Wal-Mart. Thirty years later, Woolco had met its demise and one of the other two was the largest retailer in the country. Surprisingly, the top retailer was the one from Arkansas.Sam Walton, founder of Wal-Mart:
"Here's what makes me laugh today: it would have been absolutely impossible to convince anybody back then that in thirty years most all of the early discounters would be gone, ... that the one to fold up would be Woolco, and that the biggest, most profitable one would be the one down in Arkansas. Sometimes I even have trouble believing it." (Walton, 49)

Um. Let's see. I believe that a man named ' Wally ' met a young girl named ' Mart ' & well, they got married & had a child in which this couple who were so deeply in love just had to have both of their names incorporated into their child's name and so Wal-Mart came to be. Now when Wal-Mart grew up he knew he had been born in a less fortunate family so he went to college & worked at Safeway than eventually figured he'd make his own company & from that ' Wal-Mart ' was born !

What countries outside the US have Walmarts?
I am not sure when this question was asked or answered for that matter but please have your facts straight. According to MSNBC, back in 2005 Wal-Mart was located in 44 countries which is quite a ways from all (there are around 195 independent countries in the world). By this point Wal-Mart has surely expanded into other countries but 44 is a lot closer than "all"
all.
