Did invasions of Western Europe cause a loss of common language?

No. If anything, it caused the opposite. For example, England was native to Germanic people [Germanic language], later conquered by Romans [Romance language], later reconquered by Germanic people (Danes) [Germanic language], later conquered by Normans and French [Romance language], and reestablished as the state of England. Since England had been under Germanic control longer, Germanic influence is more widespread, which is why the English language is labeled as a Germanic language. However, you may have noticed large similarity between English and French. This is because when the French conquered England, the French language was introduced. English is truly a fusion of Germanic languages and French. English is a Germanic language and an indirect-Romance language. Some people mistake English for a Romance language because of the similarity between English and Romance languages.

The same applies to all of Western Europe. Western Europe is split into two language regions: the Germanic north and the Romance south. The Romans controlled most of Western Europe for a thousand years and were more present in the south. Here, they maintained predominant influence and spread the Latin language, which gave birth to the Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.). In the north, Germanic peoples maintained independence from the Roman Empire. They also conquered separate lands during the Roman Empire's reign, brought about the collapse of the Roman Empire, and later continued conquering. Here, they were able to maintain predominant influence and spread Germanic languages, giving birth to the modern Germanic languages (German, Swedish, Danish, Dutch, etc.).

How can you find a map of 19th century shipping routes from Europe to North America?

The rules, laws and standards of International Travel in the 19th century were vastly different to how International Travel is handled in the 21st or 20th century. Prior to 1910; many immigrants, traders and a variety of people from a multitude of social classes and standings took a variety of routes from Europe to Canada because no official or transferable record was taken in Canada.

Travelers and traders could then travel to the United States undocumented to trade and/or settle. Some of these shipping routes were bootlegged by captains and crew (much like how a quarterback calls an audible to change a play on the field) and others were common routes many ships followed.

Navigation lacked modern technology, so based on current, wind and clouds blocking the stars; identical routes were virtuously impossible to syndicate. There were general plans for voyages and compasses to ensure a basic itinerary but to specifically pinpoint the coordinates of a route would lack accuracy.

What must a country do to join the eastern union?

Perhaps you meant the European Union?

For a country to even be considered a candidate to join, they must be seen as a European or Europeanized country by the current members. For example, the US, Canada, Israel, Australia, and New Zealand could join for this reason as they are seen as Europeanized. However, China, Japan, India, and Uganda could not join as they are not seen as Europeanized. If they pass this "step", then they must swear to protect Europe and stand for everything Europe does; their primary goal is to protect and stand for Europe as a whole. This is usually done before becoming a candidate as well as being admitted. After this the process of candidacy starts.

A country must first fill out an application which must be accepted by the Council of the European Union. Once accepted, the country goes on to being a candidate, where there are negotiations and talks about joining. If voting goes in favor for the country, the country will then acceed into the European Union and become a member.

What is shishlik?

Shishlik is a Turkish word shish + lik. Shish means skewer and lik is a suffix for being related to. It is a kind of Kabob that is being made on skewer. It is equivalent to Shish Kabob. When the kind of meat is not specified, it means that it should be the lamb meat. This kebob is very popular in all the middle eastern countries and also east Europe and Russia. In Iran, They have very specific names for kabobs so Shishlik just applies to the kabob made from lamb's lion chops. In some countries they marinate the meat for making shish kabob, but it some other it is not marinated and has a very heavy taste of red meat. The best way to cook it, is to buy a young lamb lion chops, then put the meat in the refrigerator for few days (fresh meat is very though and not suitable for making kabobs) without any marination, then BBQ on very hot charcoal for few minutes(5 minutes each side). During the BBQ you can use butter to make it more delicious. At the end you can add a little salt to it. It tastes fantastic.
