You can't come on to strong you have to make sure she's the type of person that would appreciate something like that. Start by doing little things for her that make her notice you a little more. I had the same problem. I became good friends with a girl. For 4 years, we've been friends. Until one day, I discovered how much I truly need her in my life since she went on an "Extended Holiday".
