Symbiotic relationships of whales and barnacles?
Barnacles form a symbiotic relationship with whales by attaching themselves to the whale's skin or baleen plates. The barnacles benefit from the whale's movement, which provides them with a constant flow of food-rich water. In return, the barnacles can cause some drag on the whales, affecting their swimming efficiency and potentially increasing energy expenditure.

Why do loners tend to like metal more than other music genres?
There's not one type of loner or metalhead and there is certainly not one type of metal music (see thrash, death, black, crust, doom). You can't generalize asocial people by musical tastes, anymore so than by the literature they read or the interests they have. People are asocial for a variety of reasons; not all humans or other species are meant to be social creatures. Some people enjoy classical or country music over other genres; others like varyings styles of music. Some metal fans love classical music, some like punk, others early country music.
Metal and hardcore music can appeal to some people who want to rebel or be different from their peers, but most fans of a certain genre enjoy it simply because they like the style and arrangement of the music.
How do you become part of a clique?
To get involved in a group of friends, first of all. BE YOURSELF. If you go out of the ordinary of what you would usually do to become part of the group, it is definitely not worth it. But while you are being yourself, start to make friendly conversations with the people in the clique. If you are in middle school or high school, you could ask them if they would like to have lunch with you sometime. If you show interest in them, they will probably accept you. But don't forget, it's always alright to be a floater with friends, (meaning having a bunch of different friends not all assigned per say to one group).
Why do men love their spouse one day and then hate them the next?
I won't pretend I know what your relationship is like. Hate is a big word. I personally find a lot of problems in relationships is lack of communication and in the busy life we all lead it is so easy to think of yourself and not your partner. Some people who live together or are married pass each other like ships in the night if they are both working. It's worth it to take time out and discuss certain matters with each other even if just saying, "How was your day today?" It's important to keep in touch with each other. It also depends on the mans age. Men from 40 up can get moody, depressed, fly into rages, get hot flashes and yes, they do go through a male menopause! They can have stress from work, or just watching the news on TV is enough to throw people into a depressed state. We have to face reality sometimes, but we also have to learn we can't save the world, and we have to trick our minds by turning it off to the blood, guts, and media hype on TV re the media or we will drive ourselves insane. Help where we can, and survive as we can. Depression can always be a factor with men and women and much of this is due to either pressures from peers, society, the country we live in, fear of losing one's job, or hormonal changes. Depression has risen over 80% since 9/11. Time to sit down and communicate with your mate. Both of you have feelings and neither seem to be respecting the other's feelings in this case. Good luck Marcy
Why is my friend so controlling over me and gets mad at me for hanging with other people?
It's possible that your friend may have insecurities or fear of losing you as a friend, leading to controlling behavior. It's important to communicate openly with your friend about how their actions make you feel and set boundaries. Encourage your friend to work on their own issues and to trust in the strength of your friendship.
The answer although simple is easier said than done some physical things one can do is to relax, this can be done by breathing deeply, immersing yourself in something you enjoy and getting regular exercise. However it much better not to get to that boiling point. Adjusting your expectations can help greatly. As (Romans 3:10,12) brings out all people make mistakes..As imperfect humans we all get angry at times, but how we respond to it or express is a matter of choice. The apostle Paul cautioned fellow Christians "Be wrathful, and yet do not sin; let the sun not set with you in a provoked state" (Ephesians 4:26). By controlling our anger, we can express our feelings in a positive way, a way that works for the benefit of everyone involved.
Do most girls like to talk to her friends abut her boyfriend's penis?
Discussing intimate details about a partner's body, including their genitals, is a personal choice and varies among individuals. Some people may feel comfortable discussing these topics with their friends, while others may prefer to keep such details private. It ultimately depends on the relationship dynamics and the comfort level of the individuals involved.
Why do people get together and become friends over bashing another person?
It may seem like friendship, but it's really not. It's people seeking out allies so that they can feel more powerful. Perhaps you have heard the old expression "misery likes company"-- some people who are angry and resentful about some aspect of their life will seek out other people who share their sense of grievance; they then find someone they can blame for their problems, or they try to find someone they believe they can bully. It's sad that this happens-- often, it's a behavior in middle schools or high schools, where the people doing it are not very mature and not thinking about the consequences of their actions.
If you are the person being bashed, seek out some support from people you trust, people who care about your well-being. Keep in mind that you did nothing wrong: when you (or someone else) are unfairly targeted by bullies, it's rarely logical or rational. The good news is that these "friendships" seldom last, and bashers tend to move on to some other target sooner or later; sometimes, they even turn on each other. I hope you are able to find some real friends, because they will stand by you and not listen to the things that negative people have to say.
What does it mean when someone's friendship with someone else is shaken?
It means that something occurred that hurt the friendship, but did not destroy it. Example: Cher and her best friend Carol almost became enemies when Cher learned Carol kissed her boyfriend. Cher was very mad, but then forgave Carol and their friendship continued.
What can you say if you see your friend crying?
Nothing. Just be with him/her. You don't need to console her/him. You are with him/her, that is enough. You just need to be with her/him and never let her/him feel lonely. Tell him/her that you are with him/her and that you won't leave him/her alone. Believe me, he/she will feel better.
:D
Why do I have to always wait for my friends?
If you are waiting for your friends because they are constantly late, it's because they may not know the correct time or same time as you; are late on purpose to seem cool; is perhaps in their nature, or they just don't want to be the first one showing up.
If you mean it in a different sense, please explain.
It's more like they always take 20 minutes at their locker and then they except me to wait for them and then they sit down with me and then they say they have to go someone where else anyway and they always wait for each other ad help people that they have nothing to do with and then they want me to wait for them which I have been for the last year and it's very annoying. And then I always ask them instead of talking at the locker they should come sit down with me to talk but they don't and then it's my fault if they don't sit with me because Yeah.
Let's say to sum it up, I always wait for them and never get anything back. And I'm sick and tired of it and we have been friends for 2+ YEARS
ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE!
Someone told me years ago to remember this rule: "You get the behaviour you reward, you discourage the behaviour you tax". If you wait, they know you will wait & so.... they are comfortable making you wait, because you rewarded it last time by waiting. If you give in every time a girl cries, you will have a controlling, manipulative person on your hands that KNOWS how to cry!
If you let someone owe you money & listen to their excuses, they will pay everyone else & let Mr nice guy wait!
okay so do I sit with them or not. Because I had a go at them the other day. And sort got really angry and just yelled.
People who use you are not your friends.....
Why people keep secrets private?
People like private secrets because some people are just nosy gossiper who have nothing to do but butt into peoples businesses. You should be polite about peoples secret (especially private, sad ones) and you will be treated with respect and be trustworthy. And do not gossip. It will ruin your life or/and any other being!
What should you talk about when you don't know what to say to a friend?
i think if your that friend is more than a best friend than you should directly say to him or her that he or she is very special to you and you care for him or her. "so share every problem and happiness with me." coz, "I LOVE YOU"........
even i have also tried this.......
It's important to have an open and honest conversation with your friend about how you feel. Express your concerns in a calm and non-confrontational manner and give her the opportunity to share her perspective. If the behavior continues despite addressing it, you may need to reevaluate the friendship.
It's possible that the girl values honesty and openness in her friendships, and wanted to share her thoughts and feelings without intending to hurt you. Including you in the drawing may indicate that she sees you as an important part of her life, despite her passing attraction to others. Communication with her directly about how you feel could help clarify the situation and strengthen your relationship.
How do you know if people are joking around or if they are serious?
If you know them well enough you should be able to tell from their body language or facial expressions. Some people may laugh or twitch when they are pretending to be serious others may not be so obvious. In this case confront them and ask them. If you can't do that then think logically about what they said. Think of what happened that day or recently or about what was on the news. Try and work out in your head if it's a joke or serious.
EDIT: The above answer is right BUT it is ultimately more important whether you want it to be serious or to be a joke. If people are being serious(or you don't know for sure) in a way that makes you uncomfortable pretend you think they are joking and say dismissively humorous things. Sometimes that will make them stop, go away, or switch to pretending they were joking altogether.
