Homelessness

Being homeless can certainly hinder a person's ability to plan and prepare meals, but it's rare for someone to be truly starving, at least in the United States. Every city has at least one charitable organization dedicated to giving food to those who need it the most. There are soup kitchens which serve meals on a daily basis, food pantries that give groceries to those who ask, and of course food stamps. You don't have to have a permanent address to get food stamps and most homeless people use them to buy non-perishable food to carry around.

If you really want to learn more about this, I would advise you to get involved and and look for ways to help. It doesn't take much to make a difference - you could make a donation to your local food pantry or even volunteer to help out at a soup kitchen. However, if you're just looking for a succinct answer, then in a single word... charity.

In the cities of Brentwood, Marina Del ray, Santa Monica, and Venice (particularly by Matt Stone's house) there are rumored to be many "rich people" who are "so nice to the homeless".

Many have attributed these rumors as a means by which a certain city or town has been able to rid itself of all it's homeless, enticing them with tales of easy living and gutters lined with change-givers in these unsuspecting California towns.

There are literally thousands of different ways to raise funds for causes, including that of poor children. The best way to go about raising funds depends on many factors. Is the cause an already existing group or organization, such as UNICEF or Feed the Children? If so, that organization will usually have fund raising tools and strategies available for use in the community. If not, much depends on the fundraising goal, the desired time frame, the available resources to raise the funds such as volunteers, location and materials, and other logistical concerns.

As of the end of the 2012 Georgia legislative session, under GA § 49-4-184 (Eligibility for assistance), an applicant or recipient for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) is ineligible if he was 1) convicted of a serious violent felony on or after January 1, 1997; or 2) convicted of a felony under the Georgia Controlled Substances Act on or after January 1, 1997.

A "serious violent felony" is defined as murder or felony murder, armed robbery, kidnapping of a victim under age 14, rape, aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, and aggravated sexual battery.

A felon whose crime does not fall under either 1) or 2) above would be eligible for TANF in Georgia.

Homelessness is an epidemic, much like measles or malaria. Most homeless are mentally ill or addicted to different things. Being homeless is not a choice, it is an illness.

After doing some research on line, the best answer i could come across was by going to this link in the Related Link below and clicking on "Homeless Report 2009", it is a PDF download. Around the 4th or 5th page it has statistics for 2009 and it said that for Toledo, Ohio there were 945 homeless in 2009.

Go to your local Social Services office. I know in CA they have a sort of welfare for single persons. Not sure of the qualifications, but you're homeless and I assume you have no job. If they can't help, ask them for a list of local shelters. Shelters usually have programs to help you get on your feet. Now, they will have curfews and rules. Follow them to the nail, and you will succeed. == There are lots of social service agencies who can take a willing and determined person and help them do what they must to become employed and then to make a home.

You don't say what led you to become homeless, but hopefully you have reconsidered the choices you made along the way. This will help you move forward in life. The Salvation Army and other local agencies are good places to start. Definitely see about earning your GED if you do not have a high school diploma.

Homeless people are far less a burden on society than some other groups. Killing them would only make the streets look nicer in a few places. However, it would be taking human life, so for what it would do there is no justification.

Israel isn't even using the paultry 8 million a day to help their own people, many of them finding themselves on the brink of homelessness. Israel is blowing that money on military expenditures and their beloved wars rather than helping their own people
