I guess it will depend on what's going on with his marriage or his relationship with his wife. If the problem is infidelity from one of them, he will have a few reason or for some excuses to why he wants to stay with his wife. From my experience most of the married man who decided to stay is because of the children. Here in western world, couples who decided to divorce because of affairs, or differences the man are the one who will loose a lot, from money to the rights of what he own. And that said, those men who stays are becoming smarter.

Well, it depends on the situation. Some men end up not loving their spouse anymore due to the lies, fighting,no trust issues yet stay in the marriage because they dont want to deal with a messy divorce, alimony, child support,etc.

Women tend to go crazy over things like this. Maybe try seeing it in your 'mans' perspective, some men may have interest in other things and maybe you should try seeing something into that, try find things you both like to do together, i doubt you wont be able to because there are thousands of things you could do. He is demeaning you because he can get away from it and he's frustrated about his life in general.
