Rodents

All rodents have one upper jaw and one lower jaw set of two continuously growing front teeth that must be worn down by gnawing. The order's smallest members are the 2.4 inch/6 centimeter African pygmy mouse and Baluchistan pygmy jerboa. Questions typically refer to the order's laboratory contributions to scientific advances, important representatives, geographic ranges, and environmental roles in seed dispersion and soil food web life.

No, rats cannot sleep standing up. The only mammals that can sleep standing up are large herbivorous mammals, like horses. They sleep standing up because it is sometimes difficult for them to stand up for lying down. Some birds, like flamingoes, sleep standing on one foot.

Are guinea pigs allowed to go outside?

* If they're living indoors, only put them in they're run outside for an excercise in warm weather. * If they're living outdoors, only put them in they're run outside for an excercise in reasonably warm weather. * Don't put them outside if it's too hot (guinea pigs are more likely to die in heat than in cold weather. You can have a guinea pig living outside mine does but u must be sure dat it has enough bedding so it is kept warm nd snuggly !! and it wnt get a cold if u make sure there rnt any drafts so look out for holes nd stuff . Guinea pigs are definatly allowed outside!! Although there are a few things you should look out for: -Guinea Pigs enjoy eating grass, BUT you have to look out for fertilizer or animal droppings. Those are really hazardous to guinea pigs. -If you area has lots of trees or woods around it, than be careful of hawks or cats that can come out and nab your guinea pigs. It's a good idea to put a cage over them or a grazing arc (I think that's what it's called) -You should also put out a little hiding spot for your guinea pig to run into if he feels scared. -Only put out a guinea pigs if it's 65-80F degrees out, or else they freeze/overheat. Now and then but not to much. It cant be to hot and it cant be to cold. It has to be in an outdoor cage. Whats cute is they eat the grass but dont get excited and do it because they can get ticks.

What do Jainisms eat?

Jainism thought is focused on nonviolence of all kinds. For this reason, all Jains are vegetarians. Jains are also prohibited from eating honey, alcohol, root vegetables, eggplant and even some fruits. The reason for this is their belief that some living thing (even microscopic organisms) may live in these foods. Jains also boil their water to make sure that there are no living organisms in it before they drink.

There are minor dietary variations between different sects of Jainism. Check your local library for more information!

Do voles dig deep holes in yard?

I won't say "Yes" but I will say "Hell Yes!!" I have been dealing with them off and on in my lawn for almost 12 years. Worse still, they burrowed under the foundation wall and got into my HVAC flex duct. I have tried everything to rid them from my lawn from poison to trapping. The problem is I live in California where the good Warfarin style poison that really works is illegal...along with any other type of chemicals that really work.
