I have been trying to contact this company by phone and e-mail for over a week without any response. I ordered one of their karaoke players on the internet and found it to be broken. I've contacted every singing machine site as well as the site and phone number listed trying to do an exchange. If anyone has a better idea, I'd love to hear it.

Yes! Kristin is coming to Australia. I've been talking to her and she said 'holidays this year', which means most likely around December/New Years. Kristin starts her USA tour in May, and before Australia is going to the UK. If you want me to ask her anything, just tell me. No cities announced of yet, although it's rumoured there are two cities - so I'm guessing Melbourne and Sydney, but I'm not sure. I'll keep you posted!

if you sing it without the track playing, it might sound better, because we can't hear ourselves when we record something over a track, it soundsa weird, if you learn the song, then sing without it it will almost definitely sound better.

acting and singing agentcys are every were my aunt found a great one for me.basialy i would search on many agency's and then choose the one that seemed better to you.

Because you're not good. It's possible that the microphone has terrible quality or your laptop has low quality recording ability but that's probably not true and even so it would only affect tone not pitch. Or maybe you have red light syndrom where when you record you get nervous and cause yourself to mess up. I have been working in recording studios for years and I can't tell you how many people have said the same thing and tried to blame it on the equipment or even me when the reality of it is that that is exactly how they sound. The recording doesnt lie, it's no different than a picture or movie, that's what you look like and that's what you sound like, at least to everyone but yourself. We always sound different to ourselves because when you listen to yourself sing or talk you're also hearing a lot of the resonance or vibrations from your head and chest. Our ears hear this because they are directly attached to our bodys and it gives a false sense of what you sound like because other peoples ears don't hear all that. Neither does the microphone. You shouldn't let this stop you from singing though, being able to hear yourself back is one of the most valuable tools a musician can have. Listen to yourself a lot and work to fix what you don't like and you'll begin to hear improvement and eventually you may be a great singer.
