What happened to the patients that ben Carson did surgery on?

While today Dr. Ben Carson is rising star in Republican party politics and a Fox News commentator, for many years he was internationally known entirely for his work as a brain surgeon. In fact, he was honored by Time magazine and CNN, both of which placed him in the top 20 most important physicians and scientists in 2001. His work with conjoined twins was also widely praised. The vast majority of his patients had good outcomes, although like any surgeon, he was not able to perform miracles. As one of the few African-American brain surgeons, he was also a role model for many young men and women of color. I enclose a bio about him from the teaching hospital where he worked for many years.

What are the duties of the US surgeon general?

To hunt down and kill or eliminate a drug dealer or a person on drugs or a drunk.

I read a true case written in the first person by the SG.

I got up. I just got a call from my head quarters. Had a drunken hobo trying to make money off of drugs. I ran out of my porch and into my mercedes. I picked up my partner at saint street. He asked me if we should give him a second chance, to put him behind bars and not kill him. I said that jail would only deprive him, further releasing the animal inside. As we pulled up at the ally, i glanced at a bum near a trash can. I jumped out, raised my gun and told him to get down. I walked closer to him, but he quickly pulled out a knife and slashed me. I yelled at kip to shoot him. He pulled out his magnum but it was to late. He had gotten to the rooftops. I picked up my gun and followed the bum. We jumped over rooftops. I tried to shoot him but he kept moving. Then he jumped across a big gap and i tried to jump it too. But i fell and landed on a trash bag. He didnt make it either though. He was on a fire escape. He smiled and pulled out his knife. My back stun. He lounged off, knife pointed at my throat. I reached for my gun but couldnt reach. He was so close, and i was so close to death. Quickly i rolled over and grabbed my pistol and shot him in his head. The knife landed right next to me. Then kip came i n and carried me to the car. One of the craziest cases ever.

What is the starting pay of an astronomer?

The median expected salary for a typical Astronomer in the United States is $96,382. This basic market pricing report was prepared using our Certified Compensation Professionals' analysis of survey data collected from thousands of HR departments at employers of all sizes, industries and geographies.

Astronomers are sometimes called astrophysicists. They use the laws of physics and mathematics to learn about the nature of matter and energy throughout the universe, which includes the sun, moon, planets, stars, and galaxies. In addition, astronomers apply their knowledge to solve problems in navigation, space flight, and satellite communications. They also develop the instruments and techniques needed to observe and collect astronomical data.

Many astronomers work in colleges and universities where they do research and teach astronomy. Some work in observatories, planetariums, and museums where they help to explain what is known about the universe to the public. Others are employed by government agencies, such as the U.S. Naval Observatory or the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). A few work for companies in the aerospace industry.

Some astronomers primarily gather and analyze large quantities of data from observatories and satellites. They usually only spend a few weeks each year making observations with telescopes. For many years, satellites and other kinds of space-based instruments have greatly expanded the range of observation for astronomers. Most recently, new computer and telescope technologies are leading to a resurgence in ground-based observation techniques.

Astronomers must first decide which objects to observe and the methods and equipment to use. They may go to an observatory at a scheduled time and make and record their observations, or they may have assistants gather the data. Astronomers then analyze these observations, put them into numerical form, and if possible, explain them using existing hypotheses or theories.

Other astronomers spend most of their time working on new hypotheses, theories, or mathematical models. They often use computers to help them do the many calculations required to develop complex hypotheses about space. Such hypotheses may help explain some of the observations made by other astronomers.

Astronomers often specialize in one area, such as the sun, the solar system, or in the development of instruments and techniques. Their recent findings have included quasars, pulsars, black holes, and other mysterious phenomena in the far reaches of space.

Can you become an orthopedic surgeon by doing mpt?

A: Anyone has the potential to become an orthopaedic surgeon. Medical schools look for and are required to admit students with a diverse background, athough having some knowledge about medicine or volunteer work in the medical field is favored. Some schools do not require a bachelor's degree either, however you must show that you possess the intellectual capacity/emotional maturity to enter medical school. High MCAT scores will usually get you in, as well as having great recommendations. Regardless of whether or not you start as an MPT, you can take the prereqs required for medical school, apply for medical school, go through that for 4 years, do a general residency, and then specialize in orthopaedic surgery. Surgery is one of the most competitive areas of medicine...be forewarned!
