Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday in the US.

It would depend on how many people will be served.

National holidays sprang from a need to memorialize a significant person or event in a contrys history, especially anything that creates and stirs emotional responses.

Thanksgiving is a CANADA , Granada , Netherlands, & US celebration and not officially celebrated in England area although they have a type of thanksgiving where they bring local food to churches etc for poor people... but no Thanksgiving day as such.

they celebereate it in many ways they celebreate it but they call it la des kaey lango. so they do celebrateit. they eat turkry yams dono and genapley.

I'd suggest Cabo Cantina right in Downtown on Marina Blvd. It's become one of the most popular restaurant/sports bars in Cabo and you can't beat their Thanksgiving Dinner menu.

The first Thanksgiving was held either in Plymouth Plantation in 1621 or in St. Augustine, Florida in 1565. Obviously, everyone there was deceased by the time the first president was elected in 1789. The tradition of setting aside a day and a meal to thank God for his bounty continued in America, with no specific date until 1863, when Abraham Lincoln issued the first Presidential decree setting the date for Thanksgiving and proclaiming it a national holiday. Hence, the answer is either "none" or Abraham Lincoln, depending on how one defines "the first Thanksgiving."

The exact date of the first thanksgiving is unknown. However, it is known that it occurred between September 21 and November 9, 1621.

Reduce Beef broth or beef stock, or Chicken Broth or Chicken stock. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan. When melted, add 2 tablespoons of flour. Stirring with a wisk, cook over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes until the roux darkens some. Raise the heat to medium high and add 1 cup of beef or chicken broth. Stir until thickened.

But what I do each year is I prepare the turkey the night before with my special glaze of honey, orange juice and brown sugar.

First I separate the skin from the meat so I can put my rub of garlic, onion, salt, pepper and a tablespoon or two of Italian dressing.

I rub it into the meat under the skin, then I pour the orange juice/honey glaze on top of it, tightly wrap it up in foil, I then put in the the oven around midnight and cook it at about 150 degrees.

Cook it on it's stomach so the juices go right to the white meat. Then we're awaken by the delicious smell of the Turkey cooking. It's usually ready by 8am, the meat falls off the bones it's so tender and juicy.

I'm tempted to say that since Thanksgiving is a American holiday it is not celebrated in Denmark. This is, however, not a valid argument since another US holiday, July 4, is actually celebrated in Denmark. Every year since 1912 people have convened in 'Rebild bakker' to celebrate the ties between the two nations created by emigration from Denmark to USA.

Danes don't celebrate Thanksgiving or July 4. A few people may do it, but is so very far from being a national holiday as it can get.

Most Publix Food & Pharmacies are closed on Thanksgiving Day. However, some in bigger areas such as South Tampa, Florida are open on Thanksgiving Day, for a limited amount of time such as: 9am through 4pm (9am-4pm).
