Is the giant tortoise an invertebrate or vertebrate?
The giant tortoise is a vertebrate, not an invertebrate.
What two things are present in all vertebrates but not some chordates?
A distinct brain and gill slits used for respiration as opposed to filterfeeding. Granted, those last ones aren´t found outside the fish class, but other vertebrates still develop them in their embryology.
How big do albino striped corn snakes get?
The Corn snake grows up to around 72 inches (1.8 metres). The 'morph' of a snake has no bearing on its size - they are simply colour variations that have been introduced through selective breeding.
What are the 5 groups of vertebrates?
The 5 groups of vertebrates are fish, amphibians, mammals, reptiles and birds. Vertebrates are animals with a backbone.
The efficiency of gas exchange in the lungs of vertebrates is greater because of what?
The efficiency of gas exchange in the lungs of vertebrates is greater because it increases the lungs' internal surface area.
What has venom that can cause paralysis nausea breathing difficulties and death in people?
Poison arrow frogs secrete a venom through their skin that can cause paralysis, nausea, breathing difficulties, and death in people. It is believed to be a lipophilic alkaloid toxin that does the most damage. Poison arrow frogs sequester their poisons from their food (such as ants). If not raised on poisonous insects, they will not secrete poisons from their skins.
Do Curly Tails eat vegetables?

Did dinosaurs have a backbone?

Is an ostrich a vertebrate or invertebrate?
All animals with backbones are vertebrates. This includes fish (and sharks and rays), amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, hagfish and lampreys.
Are collie vertebrate or invertebrate?
Collies are a breed of dog: all dogs are mammals and, like all mammals, they are vertebrates because they have a spine and spinal cord, and an internal skeleton. They belong to the Phylum Chordata.
Mammals, birds, fish, reptiles and amphibians are all vertebrates.
Are finger monkeys invertebrate or vertebrate?
Monkeys, like all mammals, have a skeletal structure of bone and cartilage, making them vertebrates.
No - vertebrates are animals with a vertebral column. A daffodil is not an animal, much less one with a vertebral column..
The northern moon snail, scientific name Euspira heros, is a species of large sea snail, a predatory marine gastropod mollusk in the family Naticidae, the moon snails (U.S.) or necklace snails (U.K.). [3]
This large snail is rather uncommon intertidally, but is much more common subtidally. This species, like all moon snails, feeds voraciously on clams and other snails.
The distribution of Euspira heros falls within the range: 51.5°N to 33°N; 76°W to 65°W.[3] This western Atlantic species occurs in
There is a sibling species on the Pacific coast of North America: Lunatia lewisii (Gould, 1847).
Euspira heros lives on mud and sand substrates in bathyal, infralittoral and circalittoral parts and estuary.[3]
The minimum recorded depth is 0 m.[4] and maximum recorded depth is 435 m.[4]
The shell of this species is globular and can, under the right conditions, grow as large as 125 mm (7 inches) in maximum dimension.
The operculum is large, ear-shaped in outline, and is corneus and somewhat transparent. On beaches where the shell of this species washed up commonly, the operculum will usually also be found washed up in the drift line.
Evidence of northern moon snail predation is usually much easier to find than the snails themselves:
The powerful foot enables this gastropod to plow under the sand in search of other mollusks. Upon finding one, it "drills" a hole into the shell with its radula, releases digestive enzymes, and sucks out the somewhat predigested contents.[5]
When empty shells of clams and snails, including other moon snails, are seen to have a neat "countersunk" hole drilled in them, this is evidence of predation by a moon
Is an electric eal vertebrate or invertebrate?
an eel is a vertebrates all fish no matter how odd are vertebrates
Are echinoderms vertebrate or invertebrate?
they are in invertebrate
-- A bit more info --
Yes, they are indeed an invertebrate, but they are the closest invertebrate phylum to vertebrates. The only ones which are closer are the group Urochordata, the cephalochordates and the hagfish (which is a craniate, not a vertebrate)
We are more related to starfish and sea cucumbers than to insects...
