How do you replace cabin air filter in 2001 Acura CL?

Open the glove compartment & carefully remove the black limit stops on each side of the glove compartment (1 per side - squeeze the two clips on the outside of the glove compartment while using a small screwdriver to pry the limit stop from the inside of the glove compartment). These limit stops are what prevent the box from opening too far. Next, remove the screw attaching the small strut on the outside right side of the glove box. Next, remove the two screws holding the box hinges to the dashboard and remove the glove box assembly from the car. There's a plastic molded piece which makes up the back wall of the glove box opening. In the center is a portion of the wall that has 4 or 5 plastic tabs on either side. If the filters have never been changed, you will need to cut this piece to access the filters. Use side cutters to cut the 4 or 5 tabs on one side and use the 4 or 5 tabs on the other side as a hinge to open the new "door". *** At this point, you may want to put plastic or something else down on the floor of the car to catch all the crud that will fall out in the next steps. *** Now you'll see a long vertical piece with a clip at the bottom, pull this clip to remove the vertical door and you'll see the two cabin filters. Pull out the filters, noting that the 'air flow' arrow points towards the driver's side of the car. Pull the filters out of their carriers, clean the carriers and install the new filters by noting that the filter's air flow direction matches the direction on the carrier. You should probably also clean off the vertical door. Vacuum out the air box where the filters reside -- you'll need a very narrow vacuum attachment to reach the back of the box and get all the crud out. Install the filter/carrier assemblies with the arrows pointing toward the center of the car. Reinstall the vertical piece by snapping it on the top of the air box first, then the underside. now close the "door" you made -- possibly use some duct tape to secure it (or not, as the glove box should keep it closed). Reinstall the glove box in reverse order of above and you should be enjoying fresh filtered air.

Why won't the automatic transmission in a 1991 Buick Lesabre shift out of first until 35 mph not shift into third?

First make sure the fluid is at the correct level, check "hot, idling, in park". Not too much or too little. Put the correct kind of fluid in if you have to add. If there is too much in it, you can maybe suction it out of the dipstick tube, Jiffy lube could do this. If the fluid is at the correct level, check the fluid on the dipstick for grit or debris or shiny metal. If so, the transmission may need overhaul. In general, it sounds like it refuses to upshift both times it has to do that, possibly would shift into 3rd if you got up to 90 mph? Backing off the throttle doesn't speed the upshift up? Could mean fluid passages are restricted or valves are sticking. About all you can do is put the right type and amount of fluid in it. But transmission work isn't as scary as it sounds, though it may be expensive. But once you get the diagnosis shop it around. Just take it to a reputable place. Have someone look at it. If it seizes up on you while you're driving, your car will never have stopped so fast and you may have an accident. also check you vacume modulator valve it may be going bad or it might just need a trans service and a new filter
