I have been diagnosed by Western doctors as having bipolar disorder, and I have been taking various meds over the years. I am also a meditator, with fifteen years experience. I can tell you, with no hesitation, that meditation is *fantastic* for people with a higher energy state. In my view, both the manic phases of bipolar and ADHD are examples of this state.

As a person learns to watch the mind, feelings, and physical sensations, s/he gains the ability to catch inappropriate or harmful behaviors in the first instants that they arise. One gains the ability to see things as they come up, *before* one acts on them, so one has more choices as to how to move in the world.

Also, meditation has been shown in many studies to induce calming effects on various sections of the nervous system.

I would suggest finding a meditation which feels right, and going for it.

I do Crossfit workouts which are pretty intense and there are two things that cause an issue.

Adderall has a tendency make you eat far less than usual so in order to keep your energy level up you're almost forced to shove food down your throat.

The other issue might be more mental but I will typically take my Adderall after I do my workout in the morning so that it doesn't have any affect on my heart rate. I do notice an increased heart rate during the day after popping the little pill so it might be something to think about for having a heart attack mid sprint.

While I've never done meditation on stimulants, I have some perspective on this as I happen to be a psychiatrist who also practices Zen. I think for someone who has legitimate medical problems with attention a stimulant such as Adderall can be very helpful for meditation. However, if used improperly or used without the careful direction by a competent physician, it can be harmful to both a person's health and to meditation. My personal feeling is also that self-directed use of a stimulant for purposes other than a legitimate medical need would also violate the precept on abusing intoxicants.

i was wondering if it was ok to take john wortz its the 900 mg amount which is the three little herb pills, along with adderol at 30 mg a day.. was gnna see if there is any bad reactions possible

Assuming you are reffering to tobacco, I've found this definitely to be true for me and a number of other people. Much of the rest of the medical community does not seem to recognize this as a side effect though. I literally smoke 3 times as many cigarettes when on Adderall.

As far as marijuana, I do not think there is a very significant change in the amount smoked while on Adderall. Increased marijuana smoking would be most likely to occur during the come down phase if at all.

Was surprised not to see any more information on the net regarding this. I can not believe how many more cigarettes I smoke when I take it. ADDERALL and other similar stimulants increase ones desire to smoke! Try not taking adderall for a couple of days and see if you are smoking less... I have been trying to deal with this for a while now, no success yet. I need to be on Adderall, Ritalin, or Focalin - but they make me smoke, and I can't keep chain smoking. These drugs also make me want to drink in the evenings. (They also contribute to hair loss). I can't get any help, can't function without the drugs, and am left suffering either way. There isn't enough research on these issues! If anyone has any advice, please shout out!

Although I am not in any way trying to lecture anyone, nor trying to direct anybody as in what they would like to choose to do, because I stand firm with the belief that people need to go through life learning as they go.

What you put out is what you will receive. As in, if all you do is give off negative energy, that is all you will ever receive. Anyway, back to the question...

30mg adderall is the strongest dose they make of that particular pill. It comes in 2 forms.1.)amphetamine salts and 2.) amphetamine XR. The difference between the two are the salts will hit you hard and fast and will wear off quicker, and the XR is extended release, it will not hit you as fast, but will last about 8 hours and is like a roller coaster of ups and downs.

If you have taken them before you need more to get you high. An instant high, that will get you through the roof, is to open the XR pills and dump the contents into your mouth (on your tongue, then wash it down with a 5hr energy, or a similar energy drink, but not a red bull or one of those bigger cans like monster, its gotta be the little ones that have the fast dose and rush in them.) You can get them at your local convenience store or gastation for about 3 bucks.

You can take it this way to get the rapid effect and higher than high with the salts too, but you have to be careful, because I've seen alot of people drop down and have seizures taking it this way. NO JOKE!

The effect of actually injecting the pill is Sucks. You can't as far as I know inject the XR's and as for the the salts... it is a long and tedious process to get them broken down to fit in a syringe, and when you do inject them your only high for about 10 minutes to a half hour, I mean, you get a small rush, but it's more like you think your getting a rush because you just shot up something and your hoping to god you didn't just waste a whole pill and your high for longer than actually a half hour but when you do what I described about, your completely 100% more high and for hours longer, idk to me it's a waste, and thats coming from someone who used to want to find a way to inject asprin and get high.

I only hope who ever is reading this can take my advice in what I wrote because it didn't come out of a book, I LIVED IT! I'm not perfect, I never will be, I always think about getting high, probably always will..

I don't go to aa or na, I'm not like those people, I don't go to church, I have found my own path that works for me. I don't down anyone who uses cause that could be me in a second put it in front of me!

I just make sure I'm never near it, I know I'm going to be tested one day and I only hope that some kind of God steps in and saves me because I know i won't be saving myself, and thats the whole truth!

60 mg in one dose, is MEGA-BIG. 60mg is the MAX TOTAL per day. But I use Ritalin to feel energized, confident, social, productive, euphoric, alert, etc.

I take like 40-60 mg of Methyphenidate (Ritalin) 3-5 times daily....I LOVE IT!! :D

60mg would give you intense speed like high, and may last longer since it's a high dose, but the downside is that since it's a mega dose, your crash when it wears off will be more intense, then with lower doses. But thats when I take a bunch of Xanax when I'm crashing from my Ritalin.

If you want cocaine like effects, you have to take atleast 40mg of Ritalin in one dose... but i do 60mg and 80mg.
