How do you deal with my boyfriend whos a sex addict?

Discus it with him and try to get him to know that this is concerning you. If he is cheating on you, leave him. If not, and you have been sexually active with him, well, I don't have any advice for you there. If you are inactive, you do not have to give in to his cravings. Don't be afraid to show you are insulted if he pushes the issue. Either he will leave you (In which case he would never have respected you anyway.) or he will begin to develop respect for you.

Revenge, is a really slutty way to go about anything, don't disrespect yourself. (I've removed that suggestion.)

These products are in a solution of 50% water and 50% brandy. Taken in the doses suggested they would not be a problem, but, alcoholics being alcoholics, taken in large doses, it would still have the same effect as drinking 50% brandy. It's a slippery slope. Don't go there.

Can you get addicted to blogging?

Absolutely. In fact, I would argue that you can become 'addicted' to almost anything. Gambling, drinking, smoking, and drug-use are only seen as real addictions because (and this is always open to opinion) they're 'bad'. But who says you can't become just as obsessed with/afflicted by a constant need to tell your thoughts online? Who's to say there aren't people out there, right now, agonizing over how much longer they'll have to wait before they can get back on Myspace? Certainly. Blogging can be just as addictive as crack if you let it.

Amoxycillin or amoxicillin is a derivative of penicillin and it is a antibiotic that was used to cure bacterial infections. Today, tens of twenties of modern antibiotic medicines are available. Why do people become addicted to pain killers?

Unfortunately people are addicted to pain killers for many reasons.

Depression can be a cause. Looking for an escape from reality.

Many people take pain killers not so much for pain as the high or the feeling they can get off from them. Some take them for chronic pain and time goes along they may be immune to that strength of pain killer and move on to another more stronger pain killer and then they get addicted to that stronger pain killer and need more.

Some people are very easily addicted. It is not always easy to get off an addiction. Whether it be alcohol, cigarette smoking or pain killers prescription or non prescription, or any illegal drugs. Some people just like the feeling that pain killers give to them. Which myself i have never understood.

Some need to go to counseling and combat their issues that they are dealing with to remove the need for pain killers and other things they are addicted to.

It could be simple things from actual pain to stress, or they just are not handling a break up, job loss, are angry, suicidal, or just depressed, and some people don't understand always why they are depressed either.

I have always believed that if you are going on a pain killer (with a dr's prescription), especially one that is addicting, use it moderately. Don't use it all the time. See if you can take Ibuprofen, Aleve or Tylenol with it. If you can use the pain killer, vicodin, percocet, etc.. and then if it still don't help and you can use Ibuprofen or aleve or tylenol, then use those as directed, to eliviate your pain.

Don't let the drug take control of you, you need to take control of the drug.

If one has a depression, suicidal tendancies etc.. then don't take pain medications for this, see a physician and get help through counseling or other means, or an antidepressent. Pain medications do not resolve these kinds of issues and can lead to more trouble then what it is worth.

What are the possible solutions in teenage drug addiction?

Intervention.

If you are a friend you need to tell an adult.

I don't care if it is your parents, teachers, counselor in school, even your friends' parents. You need to tell someone.

Yah your friend may hate you later. But you know what do you want that friend dead and go to a funeral instead?

I say sure talk to the friend about it first. But will the friend listen to you? Will they not go off in a rampage?

If it is your son or daughter and this is a parent.

Then you need to again do intervention.

Take them to a counselor, put them in a rehabilitation facility.

Either way don't let it continue.

Take them to your regular physician and tell them what you want and why explain why and what you may have found out.

Or if your regular physician is not available, you need to get them to ER immediately. Don't wait for the doctor's appointment.

And if they refuse to go or they refuse to go with you or get violent you have the right to call the police in your state for help and interception.

Don't hold your child down, don't force your child, don't hit your child or physically hurt your child.

You will be held for child abuse, even if your child hits you.

If the child leaves the home lock the doors, if you have to change the locks and tell them until they cooperate with you, you are not cooperating with them and they cannot come home. They become violent at the door, or break the homes windows, call the police.

Yes this is tough love. But it has to be done.

They have to be helped.

usually if you have no want to press charges they will pick them up to take them to the ER knowing they are on illegal substances and will send them into rehabilitation from ER. IF the teenager does not have illegal substances on them, they will not be arrested. They cannot arrest for someone being under the influence as long as they are not operating any vehicles and/or machinery in most states.

bottom line; Intervention

If you buy several copies of the same CDs DVDs or other items that you like is that a symptom of an underlying mental condition?

It could be a sign of an emotional disorder known as "hoarding," which is closely related to cluttering. Apparently you are unable to justify it to yourself, or you would not be asking the question.

Do you have any other similar problems? Is your living space neat, or do you have trouble finding anything? Does it make you nervous to think about throwing anything away? Is it hard for you to clean up your space? If the answer to any of these is true, you may have a problem. You could see a therapist, or attend a few meetings of Clutterers Anonymous.

but if u have another medical problem then u have a penis diorder causing you to hoard cds or dvds

See the link below for more information.

Can you become addicted to fun?

We suspect that most people who are excessively fun-oriented (with the exception of those who engage in extreme sports for the adrenaline and/or endorphin high) do so as a result of emotional problems, rather than addiction.

Fun can be mood-altering, but much depends on how one defines addiction. The most accepted definitions involve engaging in activities that cause trouble in daily life, but continuing to do them despite the consequences. There are also the issues of compulsion and withdrawal. However, one must also consider the definition of "fun." If it always involved drinking or drugs, there could certainly be an addiction component. We would add that there is nothing wrong with fun. It is one of the things that make life worth living. If, however, it has reached the point of making life more difficult instead of making ie happier and more carefree, there is certainly something to be looked at, no matter what we call it.

Does it harm if more sperms are released at age of 15?

Not sure what this question means exactly... Is it harmful to ejaculate a lot at 15? No. That said, as long as there's no chafing or irritated skin from causing said ejaculation, then it's not harmful. That also said, the body could get a little fatigued from spending more energy creating semen(the liquid that the sperm travel in). Moreover, one could run out of semen by ejaculating a lot over a small time period(couple hours) and not have any come out when they ejaculate, which is referred to as being 'blue balled', It's not pleasant, but it's not harmful.

How do genes affect addictions?

It is believed that the genetic aspects of addiction are related to the way peoples' brains handle neurotransmitters. For example, a person with genetically low levels of dopamine (the "pleasure chemical") or the inability to efficiently use dopamine might discover that a certain drug raises the level and makes him feel better -- without, of course, knowing exactly what happened.

If that person continues to use the drug to overcome the deficiency in dopamine production, there will come a time when the brain no longer produces it at anything like a sufficient level without the presence of the drug. At that point, ceasing drug use is no longer an option as far as that individual is concerned. They now need the drug to function normally. This can happen to people who start off with normal dopamine levels, as well, but they are rather less likely to seek the relief to begin with.

This is only one example. There are hundreds of neurotransmitters, and all of their functions are set genetically -- at least initially. The dopamine issue is a common one, but not by any means the only one.

How is is today problem different from the drug use in the past?

Well this is my opinion only.

I am old and ancient and remember some of those times from way back when.

When growing up in the Hippy Era when peace and love were the main stay of the society. It was pretty much Marijuana in the scene.

A little later with the Manson Crew came along and with Charles Manson came along it seemed heavy metal came into play too and other things that changed are thinking and society and the different wars in Vietnam that we had stronger drugs then Marijuana going around. But more like cocaine and Heroine was the big thing.

Those were the three biggest things for the while.

Then we got into the late 80's and 90's and then it was mostly Crystal Meth was on the scene. We seemed to be in a society everyone was in a rush, had to keep up, had to work hard, had to have the energy, a busy society of computers and cellphones just coming on the scene then, so we had little pills to keep us going and little pills to lose the weight (big thing to be thin at no cost!) and keep our stamina going and keep us going as well. They sold them over the counter at any gas station in some states and they called them tops or Pops or uppers!

Then we still had Marijuana.

Not as much though.

Then there was later in the 2000's Black Ice, Tar and other street market drugs out there and then the date rape drug, now prescription drugs, morphine as well. Heck people can and will sell their prescription drugs to help them the rest of the month, we never had stuff like that or did stuff like that when I was growing up.

It has changed. Now it seems you can buy the more harder drugs and more of it for cheaper then a baggie of Marijuana!

Things have changed with the era and I am sure as we go along there will be more drug changes with the era and the things that are happening. But somehow Marijauna has stayed around for decades and centuries. Now we are learning it is also a cure for some things, or at least to settle some ailments down.

And now we are fighting for the legal status of Marijauna to be legal.

So as the time changes so will the drugs always. It depends on our society and I am noticing that fewer today our new generation are using the harder stuff. Some don't even want to use anything. And find that wonderful.

As I look back on the time that I grew up, I think if we were like our kids today, we may not be so brain dead today!
