Can a couple who have helped raise a child legally take the child from the birth parents?
i don't know the answer someone please help me...
Not without him being contacted as there's a high rate of mothers lying about this. They are receiving cash child support payments while telling everyone they are getting nothing. Also, women are known to wait up to 18 years to file a retroactive child support award after not having informed the man that he had a child. I received on of those cases today. The judge has to confirm the claims made.
What can be done about someone calling child protective services on false pretenses?
One of the best things you can do is invite Child Protective Services over for a visit, have them meet the kids, show them around, and assure them that there is nothing wrong. They know that people will make calls sometimes to spite others. The more defensive you get, the more suspicious you will look.
It is possible to regain custody after rights have been terminated. However, this includes a very long court battle and is not usually beneficial to the child who has been living with his or her adoptive parents.
How long does it take to become a foster parent?
Answer
In the state of AZ ( from start to finish)once you take the classes ( 11 weeks 1 day a week)and your home is licensed, it should only take a total of about 3 or 4 months, if everything is in order, with you, your home, your income and background check.
Answer
In the state of Florida, we had a 12 week class; when my wife and I did it, our home study took much longer than 3-4 months, but the agency that oversaw our study was experiencing some major changes during that time. It took us about 14 months total from the start of our classes until we had a signed and approved home study.

Can you still adopt if you have had parental rights removed but for reasons other than child abuse?
This is something that would be dealt with on a case by case basis; start by talking to DCF (or whatever it's called in your area: department of children and families) and get information directly from them.
AnswerI don't think that they will allow anyone to adopt that has had their parental rights taken away from them. Even if it was not for abuse, then it could have been for neglect. You are addressing two unique problems. Illegal immigrant status and a mother who is putting a child up for adoption. The mother, by law in most states cannot give a child up for adoption without the father's permission. (If the mother is under age this is another hurdle you will need to face.)
You will need an attorney to see you through the legal problems you will face if you want to stop the adoption. The sooner the better as many judges are behind the fathers rights to his child, but many more are very sensitive to the best interest of the child and will not be in a hurry to disrupt the relationship a child has formed with his primary care givers even in the case where she or he should not have been in their care.
There are many legal aids groups available for a reduced fee or pro-bono if the cost is a consideration.
Unwanted kids generally go into foster care. This allows them to be placed in homes where they can temporarily live with a family. Sometimes children who are not wanted go to live with other relatives who are willing to care for them.
Are foster kids allowed to meet there foster parents before they are adopted?
Foster care and adoption is not the same thing. Yes, you get to meet your adoptive parents before they adopt you. That is not always the case with foster care since if a child is abused for instance the foster families are ready to receive you in the middle of the night sometimes, when it's needed. Foster care is not meant to be permanent like adoption.
How can you adopt internationally as a US citizen living in Italy?
"How can you adopt internationally as a US citizen living in Italy?"
Adopting while living abroad is possible ... the question becomes, by whose rules do you adopt?
I would put it this way:
If you have permanent residence in a given country then that country's rules apply in regard to adopting children in that country, or in adopting children from another country.
If you are temporarily abroad, and not considered a permanent resident of the country you live in, then you are keeping your resident status in your home country, and the rules of your home country apply.
So one factor is, does your home country consider you are a resident abroad, or still "residing" at home? It depends on the country, but to be considered still resident in your home country (while living abroad), it helps to have kept up such connections as these: a home, a spouse, a car or furniture, social ties, a driver's licence, bank accounts, credit cards and health insurance.
For the U.S. citizen living in Italy, I venture to say it would be preferable for the U.S. state where the citizen lived to say that said citizen is still "resident" in the state, though living abroad. Otherwise the person would have to adopt by Italian rules, likely to be a more difficult proposition.
For the rules of international adoption for U.S. citizens, see

How would an adopted child go about finding out if they were adopted?
It depends on what type of person the child is. Some kids might not think too much of it. Others may be upset for a very long time. They might feel unwanted and sad.
Can you get your baby back on an open adoption?
Legal and lawful adoption is a process that ends in the final and irrevocable transference of all rights and responsibilities for a child from the biological parents to the adoptive parents. Open adoption is an agreement between adoptive parents and biological parents that addresses continuing contact between biological parents and the adopted child. This can take many forms, from regular letters to frequent visits. Open adoption does not alter the legality of the adoption, the finality and irrevocability, in any way.
Are adoptive parents callef step parents?
No, step parents are parents who live with the other parent, married or not, and who is not your biological parent or foster parent. An adoptive parent is your full parent, just like a biological one. You will inherit them and carry their name.
How do we Adopt a child in northern Cyprus?
I would not focus on Cyprus if I were you because not a lot of children are given up there. Cyprus require that you must be permanent residents of Cyprus or have resided in Cyprus for at least two years prior to the submission of the application. You would be waiting longer than normal for a international adoption or a national one for that matter.
Do the home study forst and after you have been approved you can contact a adoptive agency and decide onthe country then.
For Cyprus read more in the link below.
As with all these type of questions, it's up to the interpretation of the court.
How do you petition the court for restoration of parental rights in Nevada?
A form must first be filled out and presented to the court. Then, you will have a hearing with the judge. It is likely a very long process.
What is the legal procedures for a single mother to sign over her parental rights to a friend?
The biological mother and father have to voluntarily relinquish their parental rights through the procedure that is required in the state in which the custodial parent and child reside. The relinquishment of parental rights if accepted by the court is permanent and cannot be revoked. This will allow the child to be eligible for adoption and the person(s) who wish to adopt the child must have also follow the prescribed legal procedures for adoption. All parties must be represented by an attorney. In guardianship procedures the parent(s) are not required to relinquish there rights to a minor child. It does require a petition to be filed by a qualified adult to become the minor's legal guardian with the parents agreement or ordered by the court for reasons of neglect or abuse to the child. Guardianship action requires all parties to be represented by legal counsel. The decision of whether the petitioner is qualified to become the minor child's legal guardian is not elective but is one made by the presiding judge. Temporary custody (3 months or less) is also possible and in most US states does not require court procedure but does require a written agreement between the legal custodial parent or both parents and the qualified adult caregiver which includes all pertinent information concerning the care and welfare of the child in question.
What do you do with a child that wants to hurt you as a parent?

What do you call the child you gave up for adoption?
Your son or daughter. Just because the child gets a new set of parents, doesn't mean that the birth parents cease to exist. Adopted children have two sets of parents and both parents will call that child theirs.
Your best approach is to involve a lawyer to make sure that you follow all the steps properly to do this.
Are there any other grown up adoptees out there who feel they were adopted by a bad family?
Yes, I am here. There are probably a lot of us who were adopted by bad families because often there is money exchanged. I lived in a household where there were two alcoholics available to abuse me mentally and physically as I was growing up. These people only got a child because they had money that was made by illegal gambling in the form of a 'bookie'. I'm not saying that I'm against the part of making illegal money, but what I am against was all the drinking and abusive behaviour. At this time in my life I am still against adoption because I don't think that anyone is able to treat a child like it's their own and if they think they can, they are lying to themselves. I still see too many cases where kids are abused by someone who is not their parent and sometimes it's a step parent, sometimes it's a forster parent, and sometimes it's an adoptive parent. The worst kind of abuse comes from an adoptive parent because everyone around you assumes that you would not be with this family unless they were decent and yet, here you are..
