Why are foreign cars faster than American cars?

Not all foreign cars are faster than American cars. There are many fast American-made cars such as the Ford GT and the Corvette SS but most of the time foreign are more faster because in othe countries like Europe or Asia the freeway speeds ara up to a 150 mph minimun so that's why they are more faster they made them like that to match that country speed limits.
The Americans never realised that it is possible to run out of space, fuel or materials. So instead of building things smarter or better, they simply made them bigger and heavier with bigger, heavier, thirstier (poorly engineered) engines.

American suspension design didn't change much from 1950 to 1990, for instance. Europeans have on the other hand always been faced with challenges concerning space and materials. They built cars smarter and better, and incorporated technology into vehicles and engines. That's why the average 4 cylinder German sedan outperforms the average 6 cylinder Yank Tank... And uses MUCH less fuel!

What is turbulence and what causes it?

The most common manifestation of turbulence occurs when aircraft fly through areas of unstable air, which may contain updrafts, downdrafts, and wind shear.

However, the word "turbulence" can be applied to any fluid motion, where a smooth flow is twisted into eddies and irregular paths. It means that all particles in the system do not follow the same path, that the velocity profile for particles is different. The "Reynolds number" is used to predict the amount of turbulence.

Turbulence is usually caused by an increase in temperature and/or an increase in flow rate. Another cause for turbulence is surface roughness. The rough texture of the surface will "trip" or cause a laminar flow to become turbulent. On aircraft this increases the drag of the surface; e.g. the wing. This is one reason sail planes are very smooth, the laminar flow has less drag so the aircraft glides farther. On the other hand, there are times when you want a turbulent flow on the surface of the wing because it gives the boundary layer more energy to keep it attached, and thereby prevent or delay stalling of the wing at higher angles of attack. An example of this is seen on commercial airliners, you'll sometimes see a row of small "plates" attached to the wing or horizontal tail surface; these introduce turbulence to ensure the flow does not separate.

How does Bernoulli's Principal make a plane fly?

Bernoulli's Principal is as the speed of a fluid (liquid or gad) increases the pressure of the fluid decreases. The shape of an airplane wing causes the air to move faster over the top of the wing, thus lifting the wing up. Bernoulli's Principal states that fluids flow faster when compressed, therefore a wing( which is curve on top and straight on the bottom) which forces air on top to flow faster due to the curvature decreases the pressure on the top of the wing, thus creating lift.

How does plane fly in the air?

If you look at the typical airplane wing, you will notice that the bottom is relatively flat as opposed to the top of the wing that is curved. As the wing goes through the air, the air on top of the wing must travel faster relative to the air on the bottom of the wing. This create a low pressure vacuum on top of the wing. That vacuum creates lift, and enables the plane to sustain flight. This behavior is the Bernoulli principle. As the wing angle is increased, relative to the air it's going through (called Angle of Attack), it will increase lift, at least to a point. When a wing angle of attack becomes to high, the air above the wing becomes too turbulent and the wing will then "stall" (stops producing lift).

How many people can a glider carry?

A typical glider can carry one or two people, depending on its design and size. Larger gliders may have the capacity for a pilot and one passenger, while smaller ones are often operated solo by just the pilot.

What is the legal cruising speed of a state trooper?

The legal cruising speed of a state trooper varies depending on the specific state's laws and regulations. In general, they are expected to obey the speed limits and traffic laws just like any other driver while on patrol.

How planes changed the world?

they have changed the world by quicker transportation to places far away! :)

How does an airplane work?

4 forces act on planes

Lift pulls the plane up

Gravity pulls it down

Thrust pushes it forward

Drag pulls it back

These 4 forces together help move the plane through the air and without these forces an airplane wouldn't fly

When an airplane takes off the thrust is thus increased and the plane can take off from the ground

What materials are used to make planes?

airplanes are made of composite materials. this is because composites have high tensile strength, light in weight, resistant to corrosion and can easily be worked to any shape
aluminium

Why are database management systems important in the business community?

Database management systems perform a multitude of functions including providing security, multi-user access, it also transforms data into information. Database management systems also manage data stored and contains programming languages.

What is the salary of a mechanic?

Depends on a lot of factors,

where he works

at a dealer or independent shop

Is he an A,B,C or master tech

How good/fast is he

ranges from $50,000-70,000 with master techs reaching $100,000+

How far can an Airbus a 321 fly?

Airbus gives its maximum range as 4000 nautical miles. An aircraft must carry enough fuel to fly to its intended destination, then to the closest alternate airport, and then circle around the alternate airport for 45 minutes. So it'll go farther than 4000 nautical miles, but they can't legally sell it as "you can fly 4800 miles in this plane but you'll run out of fuel and have to dead-stick land on a freeway if you go 4801."

How fast can air bus a380 go?

The Airbus A380 has a maximum cruising speed of approximately 560 miles per hour (900 kilometers per hour) at cruising altitude. However, its typical cruising speed is around 480 to 500 miles per hour (770 to 805 kilometers per hour). The aircraft is designed for long-haul flights, prioritizing efficiency and comfort over sheer speed.

What is an aerobus?

An aerobus is an airbus or passenger airliner.

What country makes the engines for the Airbus?

It depends which model you mean. The Airbus A380 engines are made by Rolls Royce - a British company.

What is the price for dry leasing Airbus a330?

The price for dry leasing an Airbus A330 can vary significantly based on factors such as lease duration, aircraft age, and market demand. Generally, monthly lease rates for an A330 range from $200,000 to $500,000. Additional costs, including maintenance, insurance, and operational expenses, should also be considered when evaluating the total cost of leasing. For the most accurate pricing, it's advisable to consult with leasing companies or industry experts.

How many wheels does the Airbus 330 have?

The Airbus A330 has a total of 10 wheels - 8 for the main undercarriage landing gear (consisting of two 4 wheel bogies) and 2 for the nose landing gear.

How many people employed at Airbus Chester?

As of my last knowledge update in October 2021, Airbus Chester employed approximately 1,500 people. However, for the most current figures, it is advisable to check Airbus's official website or recent news sources, as employment numbers can change over time due to various factors such as production demands and market conditions.

Is Airbus a346 jet big or small?

Lufthansa's Economy version seats 238 passengers. I would call that a medium sized aircraft.

Is there a flight engineer on A380 airbus?

No, there are 2-3 pilots depending on the airline and length of flight. The A380 digital cockpit has been built so that pilots of the A320, A330 and A340 series will immediately feel at home in the larger 380.

How much is a Airbus 370 cost?

There is no such aircraft as the A370. Airbus number systems go from A340 to A380
