How many antidepressants would a person need to take to die?
Surprisingly few. As antidepressants are given to treat depression, medications that are particularly lethal in smaller doses present obvious problems. As such, I am not aware of an antidepressant that has a lethal dosage that isn't huge, and unobtainable.
Do note however, that overdosing on anything may have unforeseen and uncomfortable effects, other than lethality.

Can an antidepressant cause a false negative on a home pregnancy test?
I wouldn't think that the Lexapro would screw up the test results themselves, however Lexapro really screws up your menstrual cycle. You can skip periods, only have spotting, etc.
I would think the bigger issue is your getting pregnant while taking something like Lexapro. You really need to talk to your Dr. about that. Lexapro is not the "harmless drug" it was originaly thought to be. I speak from experience and am finally off of this med!

Everyone reacts differently from withdrawal or addition of medications, therefore I am unable to answer your question black and white. However, if you were on Lexapro 5mg by the mouth once per day for three months and now, as per your Doctors instructions are reducing it to 2.5mg and then discontinuing the medication you will most likely have no withdrawal symptoms or side effects.
Does lexapro cause extreme sleepiness and restless sleep?
Oh yea!! I worked really good but it made me sleepy, I could have slept all day if I had the oppourtunity. I was having panic attacks in my sleep which would case me to wake up constantly and then I would get depressed from the lack of sleep, so the being sleepy on the Lexapro did not bother me because I was finally able to sleep. Try taking it at night before you go to sleep. That might help because if you take it in the morning, it will make you tired all day, but if you take it at night you might sleep off the tired feeling and have more energy in the day. Also, when I weaned off the Lexapro, I took me about a month and a half and I had no side effects during the weaning process. Just don't stop cold turkey. If or when you try to wean off, I can give some good pointers on the process.

Bupropion is a pill that can apparently make you feel better and can help you to stop smoking. I don't know if it's true, or if the uses are phycological.

Does Wellbutrin make you have no energy?
This is rarely the case, as Wellbutrin (bupropion) is a stimulating antidepressant. The neurotransmitters it stimulates include norepinephrine and dopamine. The use of Wellbutrin most often produces a perception of increased energy, concentration and improved mood. Side effects, as a result, can include anxiety, agitation and mild weight loss, as well as mild appetite suppression. As always, consult your prescribing physician for any particular individual effects that are experienced, even if they are rare or unusual.

Can you mix Xanax Lexapro and acholol?
Mixing sedating drugs such as Ambien with alcohol can be very dangerous. The nervous system slows down causing respiratory depression which, with higher doses, can be lethal. Depending on how Lexapro affects you, it could causes the same overly sedating reaction when mixed with alcohol. To be wise mix neither, but the Ambien/alcohol combination is quite a bit more risky than Lexapro and alcohol.
How can you remove depression and negative thoughts?
The only effective treatment for severe depression is therapy that includes medical treatment if needed. For minor depression, try exercise, eating well and a multivitamin (with meal) once a day. Try to get sufficient sleep, but don't overdo it. Eight hours a night is plenty. Then get out of bed, eat a decent breakfast -- not coffee and a donut -- and go for a walk. Avoid alcohol and all mood-altering drugs, unless prescribed by a psychiatrist. That includes antidepressants prescribed by your family doctor. She is not qualified to treat depression unless she is a psychotherapist or psychiatrist.
If exercise, rest and diet do not help, you should see a physician, as depression commonly gets greater over time if untreated.

Nyquil contains dextromethorphan which should not be mixed with antidepressants. This is now listed on the pamphlet that comes with the drug from the pharmacy. How do you stop taking 20mg citalopram?
The slower the better. You can try many ways, but if you wanna be sure to make it through, TAKE your time. You can try tapering to 15 mg for a week and see how you feel... If it's not okay, go back to one day 20, one 15, one 20, one 15... Then one 20, two fifteen, and so on ...
If you feel fine at 15, go down to 10 for a week. Then 5, for a week... Then 2,5...
Taper as slowly as needed, there is no hurry, and keep in touch with your doctor/psy on a weekly basis if possible.
It is totally possible to stop but you must not feel angry or sad or frustrated if it doesn't work, just go more slowly.
Also, keep yourself busy but with fun and/or distracting things while tapering down, spoil yourself (cliché I know, but it works !), share with someone you trust your ups and downs on a daily basis, and keep in mind that in the end, everyone can get through it in time :)
Can you take Zoloft with Ativan?
Yes, it is a recommended combination for patients suffering from panic disorder. Ativan is also used when you start taking an anti-depressant, to counter the side-effects at the start of the treatment. Ativan is highly addictive. Regular use over 2 weeks can cause physical and psychological addiction, modifying GABA benzodiazepine receptors in the brain. Even if your doctor advices you to take benzodiazepines on a daily basis - longer than two weeks, you should consider the outcome, which is an addiction problem.
