The Famous Myths that I know are, 1. George Washington was Americas' first president. Everyone "knows" that Washington was the first of the (so far) 43 Presidents of the US. However, this isn't strictly the case. During the American Revolution, the Continental Congress (or the 'United States in Congress Assembled') chose Peyton Randolph as the first President. Under Randolph, one of their first moves was to create the Continental Army (in defence against Britain), appointing General Washington as its commander. Randolph was succeeded in 1781 by John Hancock, who presided over independence from Great Britain. After Washington defeated the British at the Battle of Yorktown, Hancock sent him a note of congratulations. Washington's reply was addressed to "The President of the United States". Eight years later, as a revered war hero, Washington himself became America's first popularly elected President - but strictly speaking, the FIFTEENTH President! 2. Edison invented the electric light. Thomas Edison is known as the world's greatest inventor. His record output - 1,093 patents - still amazes us, over a century later. Astonishing, except for one thing: he didn't invent most of them. Most Edison inventions were the work of his unsung technicians - and his most famous invention, the electric light, didn't even belong to his laboratory. Four decades before Edison was born, English scientist Sir Humphry Davy invented arc lighting (using a carbon filament). For many years, numerous innovators would improve on Davy's model. The only problem: none could glow for more than twelve hours before the filament broke. The achievement of Edison's lab was to find the right filament that would burn for days on end. A major achievement, but not the first.

That would be baby Hermes. As the god of Merchants, traveling, roads, thieves, and messages, Hermes found Apollo's herd, and got them to walk backwards. This utterly baffled Apollo. When he found Hermes, he was about to strike him, when Hermes gave him a gift. The lyre (a handheld harp). When Apollo stroke a cord, he cried, and said it was the most beautiful sound he had ever heard. From then on, the lyre became Apollo's favorite instrument.

Being a Greek god, Apollo is Apollo in 2011.

Apollo was the god of the sun, light, music, and reason. He became the sun god after Helios. He was the twin of Artemis.

Leto from Greek mythology is a minor goddess. She gave birth to Apollo and Artemis, who were fathered by Zeus. Hera, Zeus's wife was outraged by this, and sent monsters to chase Leto around.

They were designed to look like their sphere of control (what they're the gods of).

What sort of attraction? Magnetism? Gravity? Sexual attraction? In the last case Aphrodite would be the one.

I can say that Apollo is conected with Delphi because when his mother Leto(Letho) was pregnant Hera sent python (the guargian of the belly button of the earth located at this site) to kill her because she was angry about Zeus impregnanting her and when Apollo and his sister, Artemis were born Apollo went after python and killed him and made Delphi scared to himself.

Greek Gods are of duel nature, Apollo is a god of healing and Artemis is a goddess of birth and infants, in turn they can be god and goddess of death and sickness: Artemis striking down women, and Apollo striking down men.

Apollo and his twin sister Diana did not attack Niobe. They did however attack and kill Niobe's children because she had said to Leto, the mother of Apollo and Diana, that she (Niobe) was more of a mother who had 14 children than Leto who had only two.

You am are you. You should think about why very hard. Way too many young marriages fail for many reasons. If you are smart, you will work on educating yourself and making somthing for yourself and then worry about marriage. IF the marraige fails you will have nothing to fall back onto. Build up yourself first.

Apollo was jealous, or feared that Artemis loved Orion and would marry him.

She wasn't a god. She was a demi-god, which meant she had one parent that was a god and another that was human.
