But I would not advise buying jazz shoes online if you do not know you DANCE SHOE SIZE. Your regular shoe size can be much different from a dance shoe. For example I have a size 3 u.s but in jazz shoes I'm a size 6! Big difference! Any way sometime you can buy your dance shoes at your studio or at another studio (just call the studio and ask you never know!) another place you can get them is at (surprisingly) Pay less shoe store they have a small selection of ballet, tap and jazz shoes (only in black leather though).

I started dance when I was 9 which may seem young compared to when you are starting but a lot of girls start when they are 2. But As long as you are ready to work hard,be commited,be passionate, and practice and work your butt off then you CAN do it!! Becuase last year was a year that I got really serious about dance and once your serious about it and have a goal you will be surprised how much that determination can drive you. I feel that in the short time I have danced that it is something I enjoy and that I have gotten so much out of it. I can tell you to just GO FOR IT!! It may take you a while to get as far as other people your age but as long as you work hard and practice and have a passion and determination for it than you can do it!! Don't get discoreged. I know that sometimes it will be hard and you will feel like you can't catch up to other people but you can catch up to others because I feel like I have gotten so much better in a short time. But just GO FOR IT!!! Also, did you know that children ACTAULLY should not start until about age 8? Their bones are NOT strong enough and can serisously damage them! Even kids 11 0r 12 and up are about the age they should start!

There are some who would say that a man wearing a thong publicly is not appropriate and is frowned upon in some venues. I would be cautious about when and where you wear it for cultural issues and sensitivity to those who would rather not see that.

Gymnastics is all about flexibility, strength and one's ability to do set moves and exercises. Ballet also needs the flexibility and strength, but is also about performance and musicality. In ballet you have to have a straight back, delicate-looking, gentle arms and turn your legs out all the time, but in gymnastics, one arches your back and your arms and hands become more 'spiky'. Ballet is not an intentionally competitive art, whereas gymnastics is all about the competitions and winning.

Ballet dancers have died when performing in the past, this was due to the stage lighting. Before the use of electric lighting, gas lights were used. If a flammable object caught alight, dancers could and did burn to death.

I am sure over time, props may have caused death when dropped on a dancer.

Nowadays it is pretty rare for a dancer to die whilst doing ballet. They can sustain some very debilitating injuries, spinal problems, paralysis etc, but generally boney and soft tissue injuries, are the most common.

Sports mean that you are usally athletic. take soocer for an example, you have to think fast of where to pass the ball, find space, be fast, have a good kick, know how do some moves.

If you're just starting, it's very normal to have a weird pattern but if not, I don't think it is. The flow can be abnormal for about a year or so. I didn't have normal periods until the end of my senior year in high school. If you are a ballet dancer it is the amount of physical activity that you are doing that is making your period not regular. Although it is normal for ballet dancers to not have a normal period it is not good for your body, if you want to have kids some day. If this continues until your late teens, I would suggest to consult a gynocologist.
