You can get Jazz shoes all over, if your a person who has danced before and you know you shoe size for a ballet, jazz or tap shoe then you could easily buy online on...
-eBay
-amazon
-zappos
-discount dance
But I would not advise buying jazz shoes online if you do not know you DANCE SHOE SIZE. Your regular shoe size can be much different from a dance shoe. For example I have a size 3 u.s but in jazz shoes I'm a size 6! Big difference! Any way sometime you can buy your dance shoes at your studio or at another studio (just call the studio and ask you never know!) another place you can get them is at (surprisingly) Pay less shoe store they have a small selection of ballet, tap and jazz shoes (only in black leather though).
NOTE: By far my favorite dance shoe brand is Capezio
Hope this helped!
How has ballet evolved over the years?
Ballet emerged in late 15 century Renaissance court of Italy, as a dance interpretation of fencing, and further developed in the French court from the time of Louis XIV in the 17th century. This is reflected in the French vocabulary of ballet. Subsequently, after 1850, ballet flourished in Denmark and Russia. It was from Russia that it returned to Western Europe and subsequently the globe. The Ballets Russes of Sergei Diaghilev and its successors were particularly influential during this period. It has continued to draw on and be enriched by folk dance and local dance traditions.
In the 20th century ballet has continued to develop and has had a strong influence on broader concert dance. For example, in the United States, choreographer George Balanchine developed what is now known as neoclassical ballet. Subsequent developments have included contemporary ballet and post- structural ballet, seen in the work of William Forsythe in Germany. by hamish James

Can a dancer of ballet began at 14 and still be a good dancer?
I started dance when I was 9 which may seem young compared to when you are starting but a lot of girls start when they are 2. But As long as you are ready to work hard,be commited,be passionate, and practice and work your butt off then you CAN do it!! Becuase last year was a year that I got really serious about dance and once your serious about it and have a goal you will be surprised how much that determination can drive you. I feel that in the short time I have danced that it is something I enjoy and that I have gotten so much out of it. I can tell you to just GO FOR IT!! It may take you a while to get as far as other people your age but as long as you work hard and practice and have a passion and determination for it than you can do it!! Don't get discoreged. I know that sometimes it will be hard and you will feel like you can't catch up to other people but you can catch up to others because I feel like I have gotten so much better in a short time. But just GO FOR IT!!! Also, did you know that children ACTAULLY should not start until about age 8? Their bones are NOT strong enough and can serisously damage them! Even kids 11 0r 12 and up are about the age they should start!
Is is legal for a man to wear a thong leotard over glossy tights in public?
Yes. So long as he is not nude he is perfectly legal.
There is no law requiring you to dress fashionably. Why should the law stop you from wearing a thong!
There are some who would say that a man wearing a thong publicly is not appropriate and is frowned upon in some venues. I would be cautious about when and where you wear it for cultural issues and sensitivity to those who would rather not see that.
Yes i started at age 13 and i started with a class with people all the same age as me although they were all alot better they were really encouraging and didn't mind if i was in their group even know i hadn't been dancing long go ahead its awesome :)
Another Answer:Yes you can. I started dance in first grade, but a lot of the girls that are in dance with me started in 7th grade. They got really good pretty fast. They stretched A LOT and they had to practice extra hard to catch up to me and some other girls in my group but we were really nice to them. A lot of girls appreciate you more if you make fun of yourself at first there was this one girl who was showing off that she could do things that weren't really that good and that got a little annoying, but if you are at all humble... most of the girls will like you.Yes ofcourse you should go on ahead and do it I am twelve and I started where as my friends has been going since she was 5 but i am not far behind so go ahead it doesn't matter how long u have been going just if you are a good dancer.!
You should always try new things so go ahead. I started ballet when i was 2, im 13 now and dance with a ot of people that started around the age of 8. If you have fun do it it doesnt matter if you are good but if yo do become good, good on you. anyway it doesnt matter what age you start find the right teachrand class and it doesnt matter how old you are or when you started. Soo go ahead try it!!
Yeah you should totally start ballet if you enjoy it. I'm 13 and I just started, I'm not very flexible but the stretches that I'm doing are helping. I'm in a beginners class for teens and adults and most of the girls there are a lot better than I am. But, what my ballet instructor told me is that all you need to do is practice and you will get really good. Everyone that is good at ballet right now has had to do a lot of stretching and it takes work to get really good. But I think if your motivated and really want to do it, in time, you will get pretty good. :)
How do you get involved in ballet?
You can look up ballet studios online, and pick which one you like best. Some studios feature a variety of classes. Such as Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, American Theater. Etc. It's all in the research.
I am not quite sure how ballet started, but I do know that ballet either started in France or Russia. Why can't you look this up?

What is different about gymnastics and ballet?
Gymnastics is classified as a sport, but ballet is an art.
Gymnastics is all about flexibility, strength and one's ability to do set moves and exercises. Ballet also needs the flexibility and strength, but is also about performance and musicality. In ballet you have to have a straight back, delicate-looking, gentle arms and turn your legs out all the time, but in gymnastics, one arches your back and your arms and hands become more 'spiky'. Ballet is not an intentionally competitive art, whereas gymnastics is all about the competitions and winning.

Ballet dancers have died when performing in the past, this was due to the stage lighting. Before the use of electric lighting, gas lights were used. If a flammable object caught alight, dancers could and did burn to death.
I am sure over time, props may have caused death when dropped on a dancer.
Nowadays it is pretty rare for a dancer to die whilst doing ballet. They can sustain some very debilitating injuries, spinal problems, paralysis etc, but generally boney and soft tissue injuries, are the most common.

Sports are chalanging because you have to be fit and have some skill. you have to practice, practice, practice if you want to become better. Sports mean that you are usally athletic. take soocer for an example, you have to think fast of where to pass the ball, find space, be fast, have a good kick, know how do some moves.
Tutus were developped so that a female dancers' legwork could be more easily appreciated.
you are a psyco mother she is 8 she sould be playing with dollys and stuff. do her a favour put her into care.
AnswerIf she is inerested in dance then go for it! Ask her what styles though. If she wants a career in dance then definetely ballet for the technique. :)Usually dance moves in an auquatic style - performed in a pool, perhaps. It is synchronized swimming to music. In the old movies (1940s), some of the moves were set to music and the women were swimming in kaleidoscopic patterns.

What is the value of an 1893 hand-tinted Ullman Mfg Co John Smith Priscilla print?
There were several different prints in the Ullman Mfg. Co. Priscilla series, copyright c. 1898-1899. All Ullman prints were mass produced and distributed via large retailers, so they are not particularly scarce or valuable, although one antique store listed one Priscilla issue at $375.
In general, Ullman framed lithographs sell for $35-90 in online auctions and on commercial websites, and a little higher, $115-140, at live auctions.
Antique stores tend to overprice the merchandise: recent [December 2010] prices recorded from $195 (Swinburne Seascape) to $375 (Priscilla, "Why don't you speak for yourself, John?"). The identical framed Priscilla image sold for only $80 in 2006; and for $25 in 2008.
Value is dictated by how readily available a particular print is in the marketplace at the time a person decides to buy, how much the buyer wants the print, and whether other potential buyers are also showing interest.
Is it normal to have a once every 3 month period?
If you're just starting, it's very normal to have a weird pattern but if not, I don't think it is. The flow can be abnormal for about a year or so. I didn't have normal periods until the end of my senior year in high school. If you are a ballet dancer it is the amount of physical activity that you are doing that is making your period not regular. Although it is normal for ballet dancers to not have a normal period it is not good for your body, if you want to have kids some day. If this continues until your late teens, I would suggest to consult a gynocologist.
