There are around 1,000 species of bats in the world.

The vampire bat living in parts of Mexico and central America, mostly gets the blood from sleeping farm animals such as cows. They make a small hole with their teeth and lick the blood from the animal. The bleeding is very small but so is the vampire bat. Blood keeps coming out because the bat has an anticuagulant in it's saliva until he finishes the feeding.

Female bats nurse their youngsters until they are nearly adult size. Newborn bats rely on the milk from their mother's nipples for sustenance. When they are a few weeks old, bats are expected to fly and hunt on their own.

White bats are simply albino bats. Albino animals (or people) are animals with a mutation in the enzymes used to produce dark pigment. All animal species occasionally produce albino animals. Therefore, there is bound to exist white bats every once in a while. However, I am not sure if there is a species of bats that is generally white. That seems to be unlikely because nocturnal birds, like owls, would be able to easily spot white bats in the moonlight and they wouldbe more likely to be eaten than black bats which are harder to spot at night.

A bat does not wander as much as rats do. And rats are mostly seen in dirty places such as subways, sewers, abandoned or dirty houses, and in the cities such as Queens for example. Some even in the brightest place like the tip of a mountain in the middle of a hot Summer day. Bats never expose themselves to so much light and only dwell in places such as caves, abandoned houses, huge mansions, graveyards, and in shadowy, dark forests or jungles.
