I am a 1973 alumni and that's all I can remember too. It's bugged me for years and there is nothing else on the Internet about it.

Concerning Omaha and Utah, the beaches on which U.S. troops were landed, they were named after cities in the U.S.

There was a committee that was given the job if coming up with "code names" and "operational names". Many were chosen to be as unlike the actual operation as was possible. If, for instance, a operation was a maritime raid on the french coast, the code name would NOT be either about France or the navy. The code names were either one word such as "Rutter" or two parts such as "Market Garden". Things such as the first primitive RADAR sets were given a "cover name" so they would not be referred to by their actual name. Some of these were "OBOE" and "Unicorn". The preplanning for an operation would have a code name, and the operation would have a different code name. The training for the Dieppe raid was code named "Tiger" and the actual raid was "Rutter". The actual raid later was done under the code name or as you might call it "cover name" of Jubilee, but you can find out more about that everywhere on the net.

Not 18 miles the deepest part of the ocean is off the coast to Japan and that is 7 miles so i would say 3 miles but way off the coast. On the baech reamember there is not a drop off till you get way off the coast so just stay on the coast line

I believe they die because they have no bones yet are out of the water so are crushed by their own weight. When they are in water they have a natural buoyancy so they are not crushed.

It depends on what beach. Ocean or lake. If lake you could go to Bark Camp State Park Just outside of St.Claresville, Ohio. Or Lake Earie in Ohio. If the Ocean, I'm pretty shure Ocrean City, Maryland

It depends entirely on the location. Some states and countries permit nudity in certain places. Others allow naturists to be naked in certain parts of a beach but not others.

Apart from the legal aspects, local customs dictate whether or not it is acceptable to be undressed on a beach. If local people don't want naturists on their beaches, they will make it very clear. It's always worth doing some checking first.

yes they are amazing, watch your kill-to-death ratio go sky high after you have bought them. they are a little confuzing to start with as many will to you but once you are conforable with them you will never be killed from behind again.
