How can you get free beads?

I make my own, and the only cost is for the ingredients, which is free for the wooden bead, beads made from seeds, and paper mache unless you count the glue.

I have received a few free beads as promotions for subscribing to craft magazines, or as discounts for large orders (a free spacer bead for every 10 pony beads). I see some companies that say they will send free samples with each order, to promote the newest products.

You can also sign up on freecycle.org and ask for some. Many people have things that they give away there.

You can make your own from the coloured pages of magazines, First cut strips of the colour, the length of the page, approx 2cms wide, get a cocktail stick, wind your paper onto it until the end, then put a spot of glue on the end, so that it sticks to the rest of the paper, gently pull off, when you are finished making as many as you like, let them dry and either paint clear varnish on them, or clear nail varnish. you then should have a lot of pretty coloured beads.

You can also make beads out of FIMO.

Don't forget to put a hole in the Fimo beads before you leave them to harden.

A pouch contains 59 green beads 78 red beads and 50 yellow beads How many blue beads should be added so that the probability of drawing a red bead is one third?

For the probability of drawing a red bead to be one third then one third of the bead would need to be red. The number of red beads is 78 so twice as many should be 'not red' (156), at present the 'not red' beads (yellow and green) total 109, so to make the number up to the required 156 a further 47 beads need to be added so the number of blue beads needed is 47.

What is the best beading wire accu-flex soft-flex or beadalon?

I have never used accu-flex, but I will say that I will never use Beadalon again. I had 2 lanyards snap on me (first time the customer was wearing it, seated in a chair doing nothing!). I only use Soft-Flex. They seem to always get the best reviews and I have never had an issue with any of their products.

I would recommend getting samples of any wire you are interested in trying. Not all wires are made the same and not all wire will appeal to all people. Email the wire companies you want to try and ask if you can get a free sample. Let the wire speak for itself.

How do you make a perler bead pegboard for free?

The easiest way to make a perler bead pegboard substitute is to use a sheet of adhesive. You can use contact paper, or put several pieces of wide tape together to make a large adhesive area. Place the adhesive-side-up, and make your design.

If you are making a complicated design, you might want to print it at the size of the beads, and place it under clear tape. This will make it easy to see the pattern as you work on your design.

If you really want something that will work more like a pegboard, you can make a pegboard by using a previously fused piece, and pressing it into clay. Wiggle it a little to make the holes a little larger (this is especially important if your clay shrinks when it hardens), then cure your clay.
