What is the average failure rate for all methods of contraceptives among teenage girls?
It depends on which form of birth control?
some call the withdrawal method a method. and that has a high failure rate
from Contraceptive Technology which freely shares its information
the IUD has a very low failure rate something like 2/1000
the pill/patch/ring 9% in the 1st yr of use
condoms 18%
Depo provera 6%
Implanon 5/10,000
Its possible but pretty unlikely. If you miss any pills then follow the instructions (which are normally to continue as if you hadn't missed any pills).
yes
i went to the doctor to get my shot for depo provera, i had been on it for more than a year and they gave me birth control pills right away. I decided i wanted to be on the pill because of weight gain and they started me on it without waiting for my period. i have been on the pill now for 8 months and i still have not gotten my period
Does alcohol have a direct affect on teenage pregnancy Please add gender and age when answering?
Female 50+: Yes it can just as for adults. If the child is drinking and is drunk he/she might not remember to get birth control or simply not care about it. If a girl have been out drinking the night before she can wake up late and be late tasking her pill and increase the risk of the pill not working. If she also gets sick for being hangover and throws up she has missed a pill that day.
usually it means your pills aren't strong enough... see a doctor

Is it okay to miss one pill from the second week?
You really shouldn't miss ANY pills. But if you miss one pill it is ok to take this pill as soon as you remember or you can thro this pill away and make your partner wear a condom for the next 2 weeks.
How many pills should you take the next day if you don't remember taking your pill the day before?
If you have missed your pill the day before, you should only take the missed pill as soon as you remember, and today's pill at the usual time, as directed in the FDA insert that came with your birth control pills.
The only birth control method that I have ever heard of causing that is the depo provera shot. After taking the shot, some say that your body needs to get back on track. Because birth control shuts down your ovaries for a period of time, the depo shot seems to be a little stronger at doing that, so it may take some time for your body to return back to normal.
What happends if your on the depo shot for 2months and then have a period?
I was on depo, and I would always get my period 2 months on 2 months off. Until I didnt get my period no more.
because they want to do what their boyfriend wants them to do. but when the girl gets pregnet and the boy finds out they usually run away because they dont want the responiblity of the baby. but girls usually are emberressed about not waiting so they get rid of the baby also so they dont have to have more respopsibility of caring for the baby
The spotting sounds like break through bleeding. You should never stop your period from arriving by taking birth control without consulting your gyn or doctor beforehand. See your DR about your spotting.
The Mirena IUD causes most people to stop having a period, so yes, this is normal.
As long as you take it at relatively the same time every night, it should still be effective. Just don't fluctuate more than a couple hours.
Your body is trying to adjust from being off the shot. Taking the pill won't stop you from getting your period or make it stop when you are on it. Believe me, if there was something created to stop a period in the middle...I would have found it.
No you should wait and ask your doctor
