Yes you still need a router t hook up your wireless printer, but it's the same router you have that gives you wireless internet access for your laptop. The router is the Wireless Access Point (WAP) that allows all the wireless devices to connect together and gets it on the wireless system. Hope this helps.

2. Ad-Hoc

To set up the infrastructure, you need a wireless router where the printer can be used in more than one computer wireless and you can also use security levels in the router… in this case the computer can have wireless internet connected while trying to use the printer wireless…

For Ad-Hoc the printer can be set up with the computer without a router.., the printer need to be set up once but the connection should be activated every time when you want to print something…

The answer to this question is simply ohms law. For most cables the resistance of the cable per meter will be defined by the manufacturer, so firstly multiply this by the length of the cable you are using.

Then apply ohms law V=IR. This will give you the voltage drop across the cable.

In most cases for domestic use, this value of R is so small the voltage drop is negligble, though using a cable with the lowest value R will give you the lowest voltage drop for any application.

If you're referring to a voltage drop in an Electrical Network the calculation becomes abit more complex and involves solving some implicit and explicit equations (assuming you know the voltage and power factor at the sending end and the real and complex powers consumed at the receiving end). A. MEDIUM OF INSTALLATION - PVC OR RSC CONDUIT, CABLE TRAY OR CABLE LADDER OR TRUNKING, THROUGH, ETC.

B. AMBIENT TEMPERATURE - INDOOR OR OUTDOOR?

C. GROUP FACTOR - CONSIST OF CABLE SPACING AND DISTANCE TO WALL OR INSIDE CONDUIT INSTALLED IN TRAYS OR UNDERGROUND

It comes from the term MOdulator DEModulator.

A modem converts a digital signal from a computer into an analog signal, so that can be transferred down a telephone line and then at the other end it is converted back into a digital signal so that it can be sent into the receiving computer. These two processes are known as modulation and demodulation.

A modem is a Modulator and Demodulator. It's like a bridge between computer and ordinary telephone lines. Telephone lines only accept analog signals but computers only accept digital (binary) signals so modems help link them.

The data is changed to represent 2 audio frequencies. These noises are superimposed onto a phone line audio. This is known as 'modulation'. The incoming signal of course has to be changed back again to binary data, this is known as 'demodulation'.
