Where can you get a replacement canvas top for a 95 deville?
E and g classics.I've been lookn myself n that's all I've found.I may buy used door pieces from junk yard if look new,but heard pulln them old tops off may tear it cuz there's silicone holdn it down aswell.may wanna ck into jus finding a material paint if its just faded lol.thnk e and g said 275 or so for the main top part alone.good luck

What is the normal coolant temperature for a 1998 Cadillac Catera?
Coolant temp is about 196F. Mine runs cool on a highway, 2 notches below the red line on hot days in traffic.
On a 92 DeVille, the ECM (Engine Control Module) is behind the dashboard on the right side. Access is through the glove box opening by removing the 6 philips head screws (you will need a stubby #2 philips screwdriver) and wire connectors from the back. Once the glove box is out the ECM is the silver box 10 X 7 X 1-1/2" with a red white and blue wire connectors. It appears to be one piece, but it is actually two, inside (under a 1 X 2" door is a PROM (looks like a computer chip). If you are changing the ECM, transfer the PROM to the new ECM (engine will not run without one).

I have told that reason my 94 cadilac sedan deville when it rans for while it wont run smooth is the transmission pump and how hard is this problem to fixs.
My 99 made a loud howling noise that seemed to come from the air cleaner. It was actually the Idle Air Control Valve(IAC)motor mounted on the right side of the throttle body. It is a silver cylinder mounted by two bolts and has an electrical connector on the end of the cylinder. It get gunked up with soot it is about $80 new. You can clean it with solvent, but it is only a temporary fix. Best replace it before it goes south. I would suspect the power steering pump. Check the P/S pump fluid level. If it is full, then listen carefully to the pump. If it is whining, it is bad.

I have 22's on my 97 deville and have 24's on dodge charger with no modifications... the tires are rubber bands though, very bumpy ride, 20's look good and have a smoother ride, but bigger is better, ha Most online sites will not allow you to choose a wheel larger than 20 inches for this type of car, because they r not sure on every car dimension. but if you call a local shop they should tell u.

Drain the radiator by removing the lower hose. Then remove the fan shroud then the oil cooler lines and upper hose/ Then the bolts that hold it in and pull it out. Dispose of the used coolant properly.

How do you get rear caliper piston to compress back on a 1997 cadillac deville?
It may turn back in rather than push back in like other caliper pistons. You can go to any parts store and by a cheap tool that has all different kinds of notches on it. find the right set of notches and turn it back into the caliper. If the piston is just round then you can buy another cheap tool and just leave the inside pad in the caliper and use the tool to push it all the way back in. be sure to take it slow turning or pushing the piston back in or you will have brake fluid all over the engine from forcing the fluid back into the line. cdhaze@msn.com

Sounds like it needs an overhaul.
Poor oil pressure can be due to worn main & rod bearings and the shaking with failure to start means low or no compression which can be worn valves and/or worn piston rings.
Just sounds like it needs a new motor.
Also could be a broken timing chain which means the valves aren't being moved and the cam isn't turning so the oil pump isn't being driven.

I have a 99 cadillac Eldorado. Am using the heavy duty water pump removal tool trying to turn it in the clockwise direction. Will not budge. Using a breaker bar with a 4 ft galvanized pipe as a cheater bar. Had to make two 8 inch long wooden dowels to wedge between the tool and the side of the engine compartment to keep the tool on. Still will not budge. Sprayed some liquid wrench on the tabs and will let it set overnight. If it still does not budge I will use a torch to heat it. Any comments?
After refilling refrigerant in 1995 Cadillac DeVille why still warm air?
Sometimes the battery has to be disconnected in order to clear out the com,puter. The computer will disable the a/c compressor when the system loses its charge. You have to either clear the low charge code out of the computer or unhook the battery for a minute. You can hold in OFF and WARMER at same time on the climate panel and see if you get any A/C codes. Do this with key on, engine off. To get dash back to normal press auto or turn off ignition.
