The water pump should be along the serpentine belt. Refer to how to change a driveline belt at this site. The water pump should be located to the right(driver side) of the vehicle and it should be at the highest position on that side.

Just take the old one off and put a new one on in the same place. The '99 Cadillac Seville pump is in the fuel tank, so the tank must be removed and a special tool used to remove the lock ring.

The 2000 to 2002 Northstar motors should be the same in this perspective. First you need to remove the cover over the intake manifold. it should have 2 plastic nuts. for the front side, the ignition coil is visible and can be removed with 8 bolts and unplugging a pigtail. It sits directly on top of the Valve cover. Then you'll need to remove the boots that sit on top of the spark plugs. The rear is the same except you'll need to remove a few brackets for components that will be in your way.

The starter motor is located under the intake manifold. It's not as bad as it sounds to replce though. The first one I did took me about two hours, but I can whip them out in a hour now. Lots of wires and hoses that you need to make sure you keep track of and re-assemble properly. Be very careful of the MANY fule lines that run on top of the intake. They will crack easily.

sounds to me likes a bad CV joint r/f or l/f . Poke your head under the car, ck the boot behind each ft wheel. If either rubber boot is ripped probably the noisy one. Good luck

The book I have show 63 - 66 Cadillac having the same firing order it is 1 8 7 2 6 5 4 3 With a clockwise turning rotor. The # 1 wire on the cap is the first post past the rear hold down screw in a clockwise direction.

is it the electric pul down that isn't operating.

If it is and you cant get a new one, remove it from the car, remove electric motor( the gear on the trunk hold down tends to break, it is plastic).

Disassemble from the top metal plate(2 screws) raise it up and inspect the gear, if missing teeth just hold the gear and rotate the trunk hold down it will lower. Re install in car.

You may have to adjust the heigh to get the trunk to shut correctly just raise or lower the hold down(you can do this while it is in the car)

Either the cap is bad, your tank is either cracked at the seam or it has a pin hole that you can't see and the coolant is vaporizing ( steam ).

It's behind the headlight switch inside the dash. You can get to it by popping the headlight switch out with a screwdriver (carefully). Sometimes the headlight switch is stubborn and won't release. Do not damage the dash trying to get the switch cube out because you can also get to it by removing the cover underneath the steering column and reaching up in there. sometimes it's surrounded by a piece of black foam. It's just a square plastic cube thing up in there and it's not always easy to find but it's in there. As you reach up there, feel toward the driver's side. If you are able to get the headlight switch out, look and feel to your right and kind of down. If it hasn't been messed with before, its plug is clipped onto a metal bracket immediately to the right and below the headlight switch and close to the outer panel of the dash.

if the temp get hot when you let engine idel for long period time .and when you take ovf the cap look inside you see alot of white crud in it
