Car Stalling Problems

hi, it could be your air flow meter / air flow sensor if it's a late model car same problem happened to me in my 96 landcruiser.

sometimes it can come from your transmission going out or from some kind of gas censors.

I think I understand what you are saying. If your car is stalling and you want to figure out how to get that to quit, have the idle and throttle checked out. Idle might be set to high. your car should not stall after installing a subwoofer. your problem might be the fact that your amp and your subwoofer(s) could be using too much of your cars electricity.

A plane stalls pretty much by not having enough power to keep flying. Another reason it stalls (most common reason) is that a plane tries to elevate too quickly by putting its nose up and the plane doesn't have enough power to push itself up into the air, then it stalls and it starts going down.

I would check coil, leads, and plugs.

If you have a check engine light you need to address that first. There are so many possibilities and the expense of doing them all would be very high. And none of them might fix your problem.

The 1997 Chevrolet Malibu crank position sensor is located on the back of the crankshaft. The rear engine cover will need to be removed in order to view the sensor.

Assuming you are speaking of the solenoid switch on the starter, if you can remove the starter and take it to your local auto parts store (one of the national chain stores) they can test it for you!

Crankshaft sensor is located on the right side of the cylinder block behind or under the starter. It is fitted into the rear crankshaft oil seal hausing.

MORE THAN LIKELY THE RUBBER HOSE HAS SOMETHING IN IT. REPLACE THE HOSE SHOULD BE AS GOOD AS NEW.

if it's a GM car tcc solenoid

No diagram is needed. It will be on the top left/right transmission bell housing.

My 92 PA did the same thing. I had to replace the crank sensor and then the cam sensor. Either one can cause this problem.

It could be as simple as a stopped up fuel filter.

The fuel filter should be replaced every 2 years. It is possibly stopped up.

It could be your TPS, throttle positioning sensor. At least, that was the case with my 89 prelude.

A 95 Mazda Protege will shut off during acceleration if the air and fuel mixture is drastically incorrect. A vacuum leak or fuel flow restrictions can both cause this problem.

stalling while driving thru water is caused by water getting into the electrics.usaully the water has been thrown over engine by the fan and the spark plugs and distributer have got wet once theses are died out the car will usually run again. this is one reason, emergency agencies tell you not to drive thru water

A knock sensor is a piezoelectric device that senses the knocks produced in the engine. The knock sensor tells de computer to retard the timing in order to prevent piston damage and/or blown head gaskets.

You are going to need to stop at the Ford dealer and put it on an engine analyzer for this one.
