Does pin worms cause anal mucus?
I took my son to doctor today with these symptoms: anal redness and itching with a clear mucus discharge and occasional light bloody look. Diagnosis: pin worms, the itching and scratching had caused a bacterial infection as well. Treatment: antibiotics for infection and a prescription anti-parasitic medication. They say it is contagious and all family members should be treated or it will keep being passed around. Hope this helps.

What is one difference between leeches and polychates?
Lecches lost their internal metamery, while polychaetes not.
Leeching was an often proscribed treatment in the 1800's. Doctors thought it would cure you of "bad blood". So, they would give you a leech and you were to let it suck your blood several times a day. Once the leech is done (after it looses its grip because it is so full) you put it back in the jar. The doctors were all wrong though the leeches were sucking the good, vital blood not, the bad blood. David Barton (Clara Barton's older brother) was proscribed leeching after he fell from the rafters of a barn and had continuous fevers and headaches.
thankfully they only live in the tropical or suptropical area
Parasitic worms get their nutrients in different ways. Some steal nutrients directly from the host's blood or body tissue. Others live in the intestines and absorb nutrients from food that has been partially digested by the host.

Could your cat have tape worms?
Your doctor should be able to give you a good, definitive answer. However, common sense recommendations are:
1. Make sure that you get the cat treated.
2. Ask someone else to take care of the litterbox while you are pregnant.
3. Always wash your hands after handling the cat.
How does the earthworm obtain oxygen without a respiratory system?
Earthworms do not have lungs, however, they breath through their skin like other aquatic animals.
A tape worm diet is a method of weight loss that involves the ingestion of an intestinal parasite called a tape worm. Once a tape worm cyst is ingested by the "host", it settles in the intestinal tract and consumes up to half of the calories that the host consumes. Since these calories are not absorbed into the host's blood stream, but by the tapeworm, it leads to weight loss. This is, however, extremely dangerous to the host, as the tape worm can cause some serious and even life threatening side effects. First, malnutrition can occur if the host is not ingesting enoughcalories for the necessary metabolic maintenance of both the host and the tapeworm. Second, the tapeworm can begin to reproduce in the host body, producing larvae that may chew their way through the intestinal walls and attach themselves to the host's other vital organs, causing septic shock or blood poisoning. Tape worm larvae can also make their way to the brain, where they can cause an array of mental health issues and even permanent insanity. Currently, the use of tape worms for dieting is illegal in the U.S. due to the dangers presented to the host, and due to the risk of spreading the larvae to other persons through lack of personal hygiene. It is also illegal to import tape worms into the U.S. whether they are in the body or not. This has lead to the opening of clinics in Mexico where one can ingest the larvae for several thousand dollars. It is strongly advised that people wishing to start any dieting regimen or weight loss program consult their physician.
Likely yes. Depending on how long they get, pretty much is dangerous. If they are small they are still bad but not life threatening. To what I hear though is these guys can grow a foot long. Perhaps even more.
What are the parts of the digestive tract or gut?
In order:
In a mammal, the food passes through a canal called the alimentary canal. The process of digestion begins in the mouth. From the mouth, it moves to the pharynx, down to the esophagus, and into the stomach.
Here, it'll stay as long as it is necessary, then it will move down to the first part of the small intestine, the duodenum.
This is where many enzymes are secreted by the pancreas and gets broken down. It then moves down to the other two parts of the small intestine, jejunum and ileum (in that order). Here, the enzymes will continue to break macromolecules down, while villi will take nutrients out for your body to use.
This "soup" of mostly digested food is then taken to the large intestine, where most of its water will be taken out. As it moves through three parts of large intestine, ascending colon, transverse colon, descending colon, and finally to the sigmoid colon, water is taken out so that you won't have diarrhea all the time. The remaining substance is dumped out through your anus.
