Chevy Aveo

Under the dash directly above the gas pedal, find the black relay/module that has an upsidedown white label that says "Hamsar". Disconnect the wiring harness that leads to this module. POOF!! no more DRL's. As far as I can tell this affects the DRL's and nothing else.

I just went through this with my Aveo hatchback. From what I remember, there are 2 screws in the plastic part of the light that attach it to the frame of the vehicle. Remove those. This is probably as far as you had gotten before....Am I right. It may feel like there is another screw or two holding it in there, but there isn't. You have to pull firmly (as straight out as possible) to remove the whole assembly. There are a couple of white "mushroom looking" plugs that are holding it in place. Once those are able to be pulled out, you're done.

**Hint** Your bulb might not be burned out. With my Aveo, I pried up the metal contacts that touch the bottom of the bulb. I did this to all of the bulbs. I haven't had a problem since and never had to change a bulb. :)

You open up the hatchback and take the carpet loose from behind the lens assembly. Take the nuts off the back of the lens assembly and pull the whole unit out towards the back of the car. Pull the bulb socket out of the assembly and replace the bulb. Reverse to put back.

Just did this job on 2009 aveo grab the plastic engine cover on right side and pull up this will expose coil pack, unplug coil pack on right side it has a retaining clip which must be removed first then remove two allen bolts on coil pack, lift coil pack straight up which now exposes the spark plugs, remove old plugs put anti seize on new plugs, gap is .044 torque plugs to 18 ft lbs reinstall coil pack put allen bolts back in, plug coil pack in with retaining clip, snap plastic cover back on,you're done very easy job 20mins start to finish, by the way same engine in 2009and up g3 and suzuki swift so same instructions apply.

it's in the back of the engine below the manifold and under the air box tube.

Just right of the engine its plastic...it has a small hard plastic hose coming out of the top of it

The Chevrolet Aveo, according to manufacturer's recommendations, should only use Chevy Aveo 2007-2011, Coolant and Antifreeze by Genuine®. 1 Gallon, in Orange. You can find it online or in most auto parts stores such as AutoZone.

I was told by the auto parts store that new aveos use AFT T IV- and it can only be bought from the dealer

They're plastic and they break. When you replace it, use a new gasket, and get the metal one. Dealer wants close to 100, you can find them online for under 50 shipped. Two bolts and it comes out.

Since there are over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only. Be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year for the brand wiper you decide to purchase. This ensures correct length AND correct attachment.

You will need to remove the tire and wheel from your 2004 Chevrolet. When the tire and wheel are removed you will be able to access the brake pads. Remove the brake pad springs and caliper. The brake pads will come off. Reverse the process to install the new brake pads.

I went to best buy. I had to order a Dash Kit plus wiring harness. Which best buy said it was on back order so i ordered it myself then i will purchase a new stereo at best buy and let them put it in. If you want to tackle it your self here are the numbers. Wire Harness # 70-2105, Dash kit 99-3306 you can fine these on various website. They say it come with instructions. I got mine at Installer.com

i read in a forum and it said to remove the two plastic trim pieces on either side of the stock radio and it will allow you to acess the screws holding in the radio.

"I just did this a few weeks ago on my '04. The process really was quite simple. On both sides of the radio are trim pieces that extend from the top of the radio down to the bottom of the storage bin (they don't go around the top or bottom. just trying to give you reference point). All you need to do is pry these 2 pieces off. I started at the bottom. I used a screw driver to get underneath the trim piece but that was probably a bad choice of tools since I scratched the grey plastic on the adjoining dash piece slightly (probably only noticeable by me). Once you get these 2 trim pieces off the hard work is done. Next it's a matter of removing the 4 screws holding the radio/storage bin assembly in. These screws should be obvious to you. Now the radio/storage bin assembly can be removed. Unplug the wiring harness and antenna. Now remove the screws that fasten the radio to the storage bin. It really only took me about 5 minutes to get the old radio out. For the installation I used a wiring harness which cost me $10. You should definitely get one. As far as mounting the new radio, I re-used the storage bin/radio assembly. All I had to do was enlarge a couple of the holes in the factory mounting assembly because the new radio mounting screws were of larger diameter. You'll also notice that on top of the storage bin there are a couple of nubs that fit into the factory stereo. I had to remove these. I used a wood chisel. You could probably use a utility knife or figure something else out. Just be careful to stay away from the front edge so you don't mar any plastic that will show. It was definitely worth saving the $20 that a new mounting kit would cost. And I can only imagine that the only difference would be it doesn't have the nubs and maybe more and/or larger mounting holes. If it ever warms up above the single digits here I can take some pictures of how to remove the trim and give you an idea of what to expect when you open it up. This was the first time I ever mounted a stereo and was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. One last note. You will need to use the trim piece that goes around the face on the new radio.

I am going thru this same prob right now....damn GM! This should have been recalled! From what I am being told u cannot just change this sensor. You have to have the whole throttle body replaced and its VERY expensive repair.

It could be a NUMBER of THINGS wrong. It means there is a problem with the emission system are Transmission. Need to have engine scaned with an OBDII engine scanner.

Advance auto parts will scan it for free. You will have to repair the problem before it will go off.

How do you change the wheel bearings on a Chevrolet aveo 2005
