At least in 1988 as we have one. And it has been a great car. Right now we are having an issue with low speed but approx. 10 - 15 rpms higher than normal.

I just had to replace mine yesterday, it took me forever to find it.

The flasher is located underneath the dash, behind the glove department on the passenger side.

You'll have to remove the piece of the dash under the glove department, then remove the glove department itself by taking out the screws on it's hinges in order to gain access to the flasher.

no. you have to take the guard of the bottom of the transfercase ,and to get to those bolts you have to take off the drive shaft at the u joint after doing all that it still isn't easy.

I figured out the plow control. Thanks for your help. It seems the ground wire, however small and insignificant it seemed off the solenoid(was a small 16/18 guage wire going nowhere) was not connected to anything. I was told it was an accessory thing and don't worry about it. Now I know better. As soon as I hooked it up, WHALA! The plow control now works as it should.

As for the lights, another issue to be confronted. I studied the wiring diagram and made some changes according to the schematics. Some wires weren't right. Thank GOD for having schematics. After studying the layout and hooking some wires back to where they were supposedly to go, I found this. The vehicle lights now work with the high beams(all marker lights work except plow ones), but only driver side with low beams. The diagram said hook the brown wire etc etc and there were two brown wires so, I'll try switching them later and see if that does anything. I still have yet to get anything from the plow lights whatsoever. I feel like I am on the right path though.

Put the safety in the off position when aligning the bolt up with the receiver. Preass on the bolt release on the left side of the gun and slide bolt forward. Below is the link to the owners manual for the Browning A-bolt. Recommend downloading it for future reference. Page 6 has the instructions with photos to show how to install bolt.

4x4 will jerk when accel. especially while turning. It is alot of torque on all four wheels pulling at the same time. You should only accel slowly with 4x4 on, especially in 4x4 low.

first you will want to start by removing the grill. the next thing that you will have to do is remove the battery and battery tray (to acess the lines better) ensure that the refregerant is emptied and remove the condenser mount bolts. if you have a auxulary transmission cooler it may have to be moved out of the way. on some models the engine cooling radiator may also have to be removed. hope this helps.

Yes, they are commonly referred to as "c-clips". All rear GM 10 bolt rear axles are retained by c-clips.

It most likely means you have a short to ground somewhere. You don't want wires getting hot, unless you want an electrical fire. If you're not comfortable checking electrical systems, then get it checked out ASAP.

im getting 16 mpg highway with 180000 turns on the old girl however the vehicle is rated at 21 mpg highway from the factory, their are many factors that can affect mpg. Im thinkin about installing a free flowing air filter to try to improve it, i have already done a complete tune up including plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and fuel filter. next will be an alignment and possible a few after market modifications.

It should be located beside the distributor. When looking from the front of the engine it should be on the drivers side. About 6-8 inches to the right of the distributor.

I have the same problem I changed the fuel pump and the ignition coil also changed the igition module,still the same problem engine turns over but wont fire,still no spark and no fuel getting through,was wondering if theres a sensor that turns everything off?? 1991 s10 owner email tileguy@mail.com

Check with a locksmith or see if you can find a tool called "broken key remover" it looks like a little saw blade and the teeth hook on to the key and you pull it out.

-First you must disconect a small wire under your glove box down by the floor mat before you can start timing, (its a small brown wire) -Hook up your timing light to the #1 spark plug.

-Start your engine and see currently where your timing is at. -From there lossen your distributer and adjust accordingly. -You may advance your s-10 slightly. but it also has electronic timing is it will adjust a little when u have it set close. what degree to set at

The thermostat is inside the small housing where the top radiator hose connects to the engine block.
