If there is no key to turn the airbag off, then you cannot legally do this. You can apply for a waver to allow for the disabling of the airbag. My question is, Why are you wanting to disable the airbag. Airbags save lives. Put the children in the rear.

If this is a later model vehicle then there is a sensor in the seat that automatically shuts the air bag off when it senses something or someone in the seat. If the person o object isn't heavy enough, the sensor shuts the airbag off and there should be an indicator light somewhere on the dash that informs you the airbag is off. Both my 2004 Liberty and 2007 Pacifica do this. I don't recommend placing children in the front but if you do, and your vehicle is equipped with this feature, the airbag should shut off.

Something this old should only have one or two Oxygen sensors if it even has any. If it does it will be located on the exhaust tubing between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter. It should have one for the left and one for the right. It will have a connector on it and it will be screwed into the pipe at a 90 degree angle (usually).

Disconnect negative battery terminal. Locate ABC type fire extinguisher within easy reach. Do not smoke during any portion of fuel pump replacement. Sparks are bad too... Siphon as much gas out of the tank as you can(use an approved container for reuse) Remove the fuel fill door. (4 torx screws) Remove license plate for access to drain hose. Clean top of gas tank with water to remove any contaminants that could fall into the tank during this procedure. Do not allow any debris to fall into the tank! Remove gas cap. Place a clean non-shedding rag in the pipe. Remove rubber boot surrounding the gas fill pipe. The drain hose is located on the bottom of the boot. Pull it off. You can see it from the license plate opening. Carefully loosen the hoses on top. Remove hoses and plug each one with something clean. Remove the electrical connection from the car to the tank. Do not try to remove the connection that is attached to the plate. Remove the 10 bolts that secure the fill pipe plate to the tank. Avoid dropping any bolts when removing them. There is a rubber washer for each bolt but some will remain in the hole. Carefully remove and put on bolt. The pump, strainer, gas gauge float etc. are also connected to this plate. Carefully pry the plate free from the tank. Carefully pull the assembly out of the tank. The float will be on the left and can be pushed inward some for removal. It will be a tight fit. Note the orientation of the strainer. Set the whole unit on a clean towel. Remove the wire connection from the pump. Remove the strainer. Do not reuse strainer. The strainer is just pressed on and will take some force to remove. Slight force is necessary to remove the pump from the unit. Slide the interface between the pump and the metal fuel line up to allow it to be freed from the unit. (Reinstall in reverse.) Put the strainer on after the pump is attached to the bracket. Align the pump to the strainer and apply firm pressure to strainer and press into position. The fabric is torn easily so do not allow the metal insert to poke through. Make sure the strainer is in the same position as the one taken off. If not, it will not fit in the tank bottom or it will deform causing strainer failure. After the pump is back on the unit, slide the rubber/metal interface back down onto the pump. Attach the electrical fitting to pump. Make sure it is secured and locked. Replace in the tank. Remember to change the fuel filter before you pressurize (turn on the key) the system! It is located just under the passenger side door. Be careful not to strip the fittings. Fuel filter fittings must be aligned to the filter. This can be a bit difficult because of the deforming of the fuel line upon removal. If you jack your car up for this procedure block it to make sure it does not fall. That's bad. Good luck! After replacement, turn on and check for leaks

If your shifter is console mounted- on the floor, there is a staple that is removed using a small thin blade. Feel on the dash side of the shifter about where the tip of your middle finger might reach or a little lower. Once you remove the staple, you just pull straight up. It may be stuck, but, slight twisting and persistent pulling will remove it.

Drain the water from your 1972 Chevy Corvette radiator. Remove the radiator hoses. Remove the stabilizing arm retaining bolt. Remove the radiator retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new radiator.

my 71 corvette has a solid antena and i'm trying to take it off, inorder to align my car cover over the stem, cannot cut two holes on this cover need to be first go.

I tried with pliers it chews into the stem base?

All C3 Corvettes (1968 - 1982) came with factory 4 wheel disc brakes.

There are a few places where one can purchase a used C6 Corvette. Examples would include Ebay, and Used Corvettes for Sale, Vette Finders, and Vette Head.

If by convertible headlights you mean the concealed, or pop-up headlights, they first appeared in 1963, and lasted until, and including the 2004 model year.

Fixed headlights made a return in 2005 with the C6 series Corvette.

Chevy put the engine in a 71 Chevelle tell me if this helps.

Remove the rear seat completely, remove fuel pump cover in center, disconnect gas and return lines, careful it may be pressurized and spew gas on you, turn plastic collar counter clockwise until loose( I used a mallet and a punch to turn it as there is not much room) and carefully lift pump out, disconnect fuel lines from pump, remember which is which, Make sure you have plenty of rags around the area as it will get messy. Reverse procedure to install.

The wire ends on the doom light are very close. Remove the lens and unscrew the two mounting screws. You might want to remove the courtesy fuse first. Check the connections where the two wires come into the chrome frame. It's also possible that if you have done any interior work before this was a problem you may have run a screw thru the orange wire. I've seen it all.

easiest way is to remove battery panel on left side of car then remove battery , place on battery charger or replace with new battery , that should solve your problem .If your using a remote to unlock the doors this should reactivate your security system other than that you' ll need a new vatts compatible key a locksmith should be able to help you out .

As with anything a car is worth what someone will pay for it. The 1978 vette is not in high demand for the most part. I see them advertised for anywhere from $3,000 to $6500. The price can be higher depending on the condition.
