jack up the truck; remove front right tire; remove plastic wheel well....you can then see the bracket that it is bolted to....you'll have to take off a nut up top to lower it down through the fender. I took mine out and replaced it with a short rubber antennae....it's a b*&tch to get the cable through the firewall to the radio.....

This was really simple on my top, after WRESTLING with it every f&*$ing time I had to put it up: Loosen that little strip just about the back window, also raise the bar if it happens to be unhooked (the big bar that goes across). I replaced my top (after someone slashed it) and was having the same difficult time putting it up as the last one. This is just a little band of black fabric with a buckle thing that kind of holds things tighter (for looks mostly) and unhooking it makes things much easier. I leave it off all summer even though the top looks a bit saggy when I put it up.
