The Shadow convertible top was never designed to go all the way down. When sold originally, they came with a vinyl boot that was to cover the roof rails and be stored in the trunk when not in use. Notice the snaps above the speakers in the back seat area and the three above the trunk area for the boot cover. There was a booklet included with your owners manual titled"Convertible--Owner's Manual Supplement". It is a red and white striped 21 page booklet on do's and don't's. You can probably find it online like eBay etc. Remember, the Shadow had it's top literally cut off to become a convertible. That is why there are three pieces of plastic surrounding the base of the soft top and trunk.

190HP with the base ZQ3 350 V8 and 250HP and 285 lbs. ft. of torque with the optional L82 350 V8.

I think its in the same place as my 85, on the pass-side frame, about 1/2 way between the front and real wheels. About 2-3" in dia. and 4" long.

remove the 2 t15 screws in the taillight remove the assy. turn bulb socket out and replace

Might want to check the Idle Air Control valve. Also check the fuel pressure.

There are hard top corvettes and convertible corvettes.

It depends on your tires. Look for the "PSI" rating on the wall of the tires.

yes since they are both 60 degree v6's but make sure the water passages line up.

the transmission will not accommodate a manual speedometer unless you replace the rear housing on the trani.... yes alot of money for the change over.. you can replace it with the round electronic gauges which is what i am doing to get rid of the cluster!! you can use manual oil and temp gauges.you just have to customize the dash section for those clusters. well worth it 2 me.

Pull the headlights to the "ON" position. This means pull the knob out till it stops, which means the headlights will be on. With your right, reach under the dash a depress the small button on the switch. With your left hand, pull the knob all of the way out. Then you will have acess to the retainer. With a large screwdriver, remove the retainer and the headlight switch will slide out of the dash. When you unplug the switch, the headlights will go off, or you can disconnect the battery. If you don't understand about the small release button on the headlight switch, look at a new one. You will see the button. It must be fully depressed.

RH under hood, between blower and evaporator according to diagram.

The blower control module is most likely the culprit. It was on my 87 covette ,easy to replace but cost about $150.00

Remove the inside door panel of your 1982 Chevy Corvette. Remove the window retaining clips. The window will lift out.
