The alternator may be going bad.

yes it comes with hard top a toneau top and soft top.

There is another fuse box (all minifuses) located under the dash on the drivers side, there is a 20 amp fuse that works both the radio and lighter there

The rear half(rear ashtray) of the console has to be removed first. Then take the 4 Phillips screw holding the shifter cover out. Lift the cover towards the shift knob, you don't have to takeit all the way off. The bulb is in the small tray next to the shifter shaft. daner@copper.net

Things were slightly different in my 2000 S70 which has a center armrest with cup holders. First pry loose the cover for the handbrake and then pull the cover off the handbrake handle. The entire center housing is held in place by two 8mm bolts. These bolts are hidden under a removable panel located inside the storage box under the center armrest. When you open the armrest box you will see a small tab at the bottom toward the front. The access panel can be removed by placing a screwdriver in the tab and prying gently. The two bolts are under this panel. Once the bolts are removed the entire center console can be lifted up. It is not necessary to completely remove it. Could be several things.

If the blower works on A/C or vent it is good.

If the Heater core is not leaking (due to corrosion, which is a common problem) it is probably good.

Could just be the Temperature cable is off the the blower door not allowing air to pass over the heater core.

When I had the same problem it was the starter solenoid. It is built on the starter so you have to replace both. After the starter/solenoid was replaced I had no more problems.

P.S. If you take it to most major auto parts places they can check the starter but not the solenoid mine showed good but after I replaced it I never had that problem again.

inside of the door of the Monte Carlo there are two tan wires, a larger one, a smaller one, a blue wire, and a black, try to get some shrink rubber for wires or electrical tape either one, I prefer the rubber all you need to do is put it on one end before tieing the two wires each together and then take a lighter and heat the rubber and it will shrink around the exposed wires. When you put the door trim back on the locks will work I recently worked on a 1992 Monte Carlo with the exact problem.

you probably have a button or switch to turn overdrive on and off, it may be on the end of your shift lever, you probably want to keep the overdrive on, save you some gas, hope i helped

you say you replaced the pump, did you replace the filter? a dirty filter could cause the pump to shut off, also could be that they did not hook up the pump right, or could have put the wrong part on. some parts look the same but they are not all the same. the filter is above the gas tank in the rear on my tracker. check there you may need to start there first, but i would seriously be asking questions to who put the part on your car or who sold you the part. if your problem is not solved soon.

There are a couple of different times when you'd turn off your headlights. You'd turn off your headlights when the car is off for example.

This is very simple and take 5 minutes. First draw on a piece of paper, the way it's install on your truck than take your ratchet with the 14mm box.

Look at the wheel at the right of the alternator and the power steering, turn the center bolt of that wheel clockwise and it's going to depress the belt. Take it off and pass by the back of the radiator fan and up it's off. To put the new one($18.00) pass the belt the same way following the shema you draw on the paper and when it's o.k. turn the pressure wheel unclockwise to put pressure on the belt. That's it!

Check your sway bar links. I just had to have these replaced on my 2004 Tracker.

It usually pops off but if it's frozen, look for two extra threaded holes on the rotor. Get two high grade bolts that fit the holes (8mm fine?) and use them like a gear puller. You can get the bolts at any Sears Hardware store.

if fluid is level with bottom edge, then is it full

if fluld is not amber and clear, but cloudy , then it is water logged.

Well, the rear is easy, jack it way up, remove rear tires, put jack stands under frame, disconnect the shock, and let the sling push the axel down, remove the spring and add the spacer and replace the spring, making sure it is seated well in both top and bottom spring cups. The front is more difficult, need to remove sway bar link, ball joint, and disconnect the strut. Then push the control arm down, remove spring, add spacer, replace spring and I suggest placing a jack under the control arm to push it up back into place and put it all back together.
