What could a golf ball size hard knot be on the back of your infants head be?
Unless the baby was dropped and has a serious goosegg then it's more then likely a birthmark. I've seen many new babies with this. Everyone always looks at them like they dropped there baby but that's not the case. But if they were dropped I wouldn't b wasting my time on the internet, that baby should b at the hospital. I hope this helped.
What do you start teaching a child at the age of 1?
You can teach them the meaning of objects by repitition. For example, when I worked in a daycare center, while my one year old class ate snack, I would put on a baby Mozart video and with every object that came on the screen, I would say it out loud. If a banana came on the screen, I would say 'banana', if an elephant came on the screen, I would say 'elephant'. And I would play the same video everyday. You can also start helping them improve their fine motor skills by letting them paint with non-toxic finger paint or color with washable markers. You can even start to teach them how to use the potty.
Answer
Follow the child development milestones and give the child lots of practice of the various skills so that they meet the next one. Keep in mind, however, that some kids are faster verbally and some are more agile. Just keep working with them, matching their abilities--with patience.

Why is it not okay for a baby to get a piercing?
Babies cannot consent to having body modification done on them - a baby is not a fashion accessory, and it is not ethical to change a babies appearance with body modification just for your own vanity. Furthermore punching a hole through a babies skin has risks such as infection, and a baby is likely to pull out the piercing or catch the piercing so damage the skin.
Babies are forever hitting their heads or getting bruises as they explore the world around them. The important thing to do is be observant. If a baby has suffered a blow to the head enough to raise a knot, this means there is swelling of the tissue that is caused by blood seeping beneath or in between the layers of skin. Watch the child for changes in behavior, becoming overly sleepy or fussy. If the child vomits, is off his or her normal feeding schedule or displays anything other than normal behavior, it's time to alert a doctor.

Why would your 8-year-old girl always be crying?
Has she had a loss or big changes in her family?Sometimes children find this very difficult to deal with.
Maybe she is being bullied at school? She might be bullied in school or something might be going on with her and her friends. Girls are experts on bullying so it doesn't show. it's all about body language and signs you don't pick up on unless you know what to look for. Talk to her teacher if she has noticed anything in school, if her work is slipping or she's not with her friends anymore or if she's hanging out with someone else. Also ask the parents of her friends. And of course try talking to her. Just tell her you have noticed how sad she's been recently and that you want her to know that you are always there to listen and that it's easier to share heavy things then carrying them all by yourself.
Maybe she is stressed for different reasons? Children with ADHD for instance are very stressed and crying is a way to get that out. If you also have undiagnosed ADHD and have anxiety, crying is a way to relieve the stress. If it's really bad and she doesn't want to talk to a parent and doesn't get better, take her to a therapist. Sometimes it's easier to talk to someone who's not related or that you know.
Maybe she's being forced to keep a secret? Sexual abuse, usually by someone close to or in the family is always accompanied by "This is our secret. You can't tell anyone." Does she spend time being looked after by someone alone? Is she ever in a place where she can be approached? Is her bedroom safe at night from everyone (including close family)?
Maybe she's in physical pain? And of course also make sure she is not in physical pain anywhere.
