If you do not owe past child support how do you get it erased?
You have to go to court and have a judge do it.
Should it be ok that my ex shaved my 11 yr old daughters armpits for the 1st time?
As long as your daughter felt comfortable and wanted it. The first time a girl shaves her armpits or legs is a personal choice.
Yes child support is paid until the child is 18 and in some states until they are 21.
What happens when the child is 19 or 20 years old and leaves with there father and he owes back pay?
There is no statute of limitations on the collection of arrears. However, a claim must be maintained in order for the case not to be archived.
If the arrears are a result of a legitimate reason, such as unemployment, he can still motion the court to have them reduced or set aside.
yes!
Can two states enforce the same child support order?
Isn't there a Federal registry of child support orders? If so, you cannot outrun the judgement that you owe child support. Pay up.
AnswerYes. When there is more than one state involved there can only be one valid child support order. Interstate income withholding can be used to enforce a child support order in another jurisdiction if the obligor's employer is known. The custodial parent must initiate a case with local child support enforcement and a caseworker will assist. The Child Support Enforcement Program is a federal-state partnership whose mission is to collect child support since children who are not supported by parents suffer and must often be supported by tax payers. Part of the services provided by the CSE is a state parent locator service that will check tax records, law enforcement agencies, motor vehicle records, etc., for the location of a hard to find parent. All state child support agencies are required to enforce child support orders as vigorously for children living in other states as for children living in state although it may be more difficult and take longer.

Is there a way to make the state of Missouri prove the child im supporting is mine?
Paternity must be established before an order for support is entered. This is done by: genetic testing; presumption, where the parties were married when the child was born/
conceived; acknowledgment of paternity either in writing or in open court; default, where the alleged father fails to cooperate in the process.
yes, but it should go to them directly
In Colorado what age is a parent no longer responsible for child support?
If your child support order was entered on or after July, 1997, the support obligation stops when the child turns 19 unless:
* the parties agree otherwise by a stipulation signed after July 1997
* the child is mentally or physically disabled, and the court orders past age 19
* the child is in high school, or an equivalent program; in this case, support continues until a month after graduation but not beyond the age of 21
If your child support order was entered prior to July, 1997, the support obligation terminates when the child turns 19 unless:
* the parties agree otherwise by a written stipulation after July 1, 1991
* the child is mentally or physically disabled and the court orders support past age 19
* the child is in high school, or an equivalent program, in which case, support continues until a month after graduation but not beyond the age of 21 unless there is an order for post-secondary education ordering support to continue through post-secondary education

Do you file a tpr in the county the child is in or where you live?
In the jurisdictional residence of the child.
Can a court ordered parental agreement be changed?
That would be entirely up to the discretion of the court based on the changes that may have occurred since the original order was granted. The requesting parent would need to file suit usually in the county in which the case was originally adjudicated to have the order amended.
How can you share you child with a jerk?
It's really hard, I know. Just try to remember that it's in the best interest of the child, for now. When the child gets older, he/she will probably figure out that the other parent is a jerk and then you probably won't have to share anymore. Just take it one day at a time. Good Luck!
Can wages earned overseas that are not subject to federal income tax be garnished for child support?
I've worked several overseas assignments. The US is one of the only countries that taxes foreign income so I can't imagine a situation where your foreign income would NOT be subject to US federal taxes. As such I would further suppose that it is therefore liabel to be garnished.
I'm improving the previous answer: My husband worked overseas. He did not have to pay US federal taxes because he paid German taxes and a person cannot be double taxes on income. He still had to pay his child support obligation and it was garnished from his pay.
If a parents rights are terminated can a brother adopt the kids?
Yes. You can probably adopt your brother's or sister's children. You may need to check with a lawyer. There is a family services agency in your area that is familiar with lawyers who handle that type of law.
You would not be entitled to any of the SSI benefits. For a person to be eligible for any SS benefits of their partner, that person must be legally married to the receipient of such. The child might be entitled to survivor benefits upon the death of the SS beneficiary, but parentage would have to be established and the deceased would have to be qualified for regular SS retirement benefits or SSD not SSI.
Should a 11 year old child be home alone watching a 7 year old child?
HELL NO.
Only two states have legislated a specific age to leave a child home alone, Illinois and Maryland. And while the answer above is pretty direct, it is pretty accurate. And 11 year old does not have the maturity to look after a 7 year old and keep them safe. Generally speaking, the child must be safe, must feel safe, and know how to take care of themselves in an emergency. Most places believe that 12 or 13 is okay to leave home alone for a couple of hours during daylight hours.
How do you stop costody to your child from the father?
You will need to go to court with legal representation to present your case. The judge will make a binding decision.
You may have to pay child support to the one who has custody of your children.
The parents should return to court to change custody and terminate support. The court may order the mother to pay support and might credit her for the father's arrearage.
Does support stop for a 19 year old who goes into navy reserves in Indiana?
In my view, such a child should be considered "emancipated" and, therefore, support should end.
Yes. And it's also incredibly stupid: marriage is a matter of public record, so it's easy to tell you're lying, AND you can sue for child support whether you were married or not.
