Which Italian composers have last names that begin with the letter A?

In chronological order, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven. There are no other famous classical composers. Now, should we chose to expand to the other two periods of music we would find several other famous composers, such as Chopin or Bach. However, there are many famous composers, the question is a little vague. I would say the four most famous of all baroque, classical or romantic composers are Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin. The fifth could be argued however.

The four I've mentioned put out many popular works- the most popular are as follows-

Bach- Brandenburg Concerti, Fugues and other various organ works

Mozart- Concerto for Clarinet, Symphony #40 "Jupiter", "The Magic Flute", "The Marriage of Figaro", Eline Klein Nautsmek (original German transcription spelling), and works for solo piano (such as the famous "Turkish March")

Beethoven- Piano Sonatas such as "Moonlight", "Pathetique" and "Appassionata", the five piano concerti (especially the fifth, nicknamed "Emperor"), his Violin Concerto, his nine symphonys (particularly his 5th, 6th and 9th), and other various works.

Chopin- Piano Concerti, Scherzos, Impromptus, Etudes, Nocturnes and Waltzs.

How Hollywood incorporated Tin Pan Alley into the movie business?

The 1920s were the golden age of the sophisticated popular song, like those of Irving Berlin and Cole Porter. Songs were put into revues without much regard for integrating the song into the plot. During the 1930s there was a shift in musical theatre from musical revues to musicals that used the song to further the plot, limiting the demand for the pure stand-alone song. The Tin Pan Alley (named for the cacophony of pinaos in the Manhattan area that housed the song business, which sounded like the banging of tin pans)songwriters who wrote songs followed the money. Many of the early Hollywood stars, such as Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire were veterans of these plotted Broadway and London musicals, and brought the form to Hollywood. Their songwriters and lyricists followed.

How much did Beethoven get paid?

I can't give you specifics without some research-- it's not as if he worked for a "Composition Firm" from 9 to 5 earning a regular salary. In those days composers might be fortunate enough to have rich titled patrons who supported them in their artistic work, usually with requirements to produce various works for the patron's court. A good example of such an artist is Francois Couperin (Le Grand, a contemporary of JS Bach) who was a musician in the court of Louis XIV. By Beethoven's day it was becoming more common to receive some private commissions for the composition of various works. And of course he was a famous and celebrated pianist before deafness overtook him. I think it's very interesting to note that while some composers (notably Mozart) died penniless and destitute, Beethoven managed his affairs in such a way that he was able to take care of himself and even leave an estate.

Who finish the Requiem mass music after Mozart died?

In 1791, the last year of his life, Mozart received a commission to compose a Requiem by a nobleman named Franz von Walsegg. Walsegg communicated with Mozart anonymously through intermediaries, so Mozart never knew who actually had commissioned the work. Walsegg was fond of commissioning pieces from composers and passing them off as his own. In the case of the Requiem, he intended to have it performed as his own work in memory of his late wife.

Mozart was paid half his fee for composing the Requiem up-front, with the balance to be paid upon completion and delivery of the score. When he died in December, 1791 leaving it unfinished, his wife Constanze, desperate for money, asked several composers to complete it for her so she could collect the final payment. Mozart's student Franz Sussmayr ended up completing the work, though he was not Constanze's first choice. After a performance was arranged for Constanze's benefit January, 1793, the score was delivered to Walsegg and it was performed in memory of his wife in December, 1793.

If you mean to ask what instruments/voices Mozart intended for his Requiem, it is scored for: 2 Bassett Horns (a relative of the clarinet), 2 Bassoons, 2 Trumpets in D, 3 Trombones, Timpani, Strings (Violin I, Violin II, Viola, 'Cello and Bass) and Organ, accompanying Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass soloists and Chorus.
