How do you make an apple mesh in Anim8or?

To create an apple mesh in Anim8or, start by selecting the "Object" mode and then create a new primitive object, such as a sphere, to form the base shape of the apple. Use the "Scale" tool to adjust the proportions, making it slightly wider at the bottom and narrower at the top. Next, apply a texture or color to give it a realistic appearance, and use the "Mesh" tools to refine the shape and add details like a stem. Finally, adjust the lighting and rendering settings to enhance the visual quality of your apple mesh.

A polygon that is 3-d?

I don't truly understand that question but I'll give it a try.

As a 3D modeller, I know that a polygon on itself is not 3D. However, it's placed in a 3D environement. Vertices (vertex plurial) are location points at corners of polygons with X,Y and Z positions. They're only markers. Just like kid's drawing between points, I polygon is flat. To get a 3D figure, you need more than one.

How can I find out the names of certain letterpress type alphabet fonts?

As far as I know, there is no comprehensive source for an answer. The best starting point is probably 'The encyclopedia of Typefaces' (Turner Berry, Jaspert & Johnson, 4th Edn, Blandford, 1970), which covers the major 20th century Western European and American typefaces. Nicolette Gray's 'Nineteenth Century Ornamented Typefaces' (Faber & Faber, 1976) extends the coverage, and 'Printing Types' by D B Updike (OUP, 1962) goes further back, covering types from the start of letterpress.

However, all these are limited, the first and last concentrating on the more typographically acceptable or well-known examples (they had to draw a line somewhere), and omit many lesser commercial faces, particularly in the 19th century.

Also, many faces were copied or pirated, and many issued under different names by different founders. The catalogues issued by typefounders are mostly rare, and those available are usually from the better-known firms. Access to these is really only possible at specialist libraries, such as St.Bride Institute in Fleet Street, London.

How do you import a JPEG file into Maya 2012?

It depends on what you are trying to achieve:

  • If you are trying to add an image to use as a reference (it will not show in the output renders), go to View (in the menu just above the workspace)-> Image Plane-> Import Image
  • If you are trying to add an image as a background, for instance, and want it to show in the output, add a polygon or nurbs plane (depending on your preference, I suggest use the former) and apply a texture to it with the target image and scale it correctly using the UV Texture Editor (Window-> UV texture editor)

What type of work do on AutoCAD?

AutoCadd, a computer aided drafting software, is used for drafting of floor plans, sections, elevations and 3d generation. But I personally reccommend using AutoCadd for floor plans only and using other cadd softwares for 3d generation because its much easier. 3d generation in Autocadd is quite confusing for beginners.
