When disassembling a computer what is the most important step?
Unplug the power first.
I feel it to be very wise that one should know what one is working with, have an understanding of the task, and the problem. Then one should be equipt with the proper documentation of the computer and how to repair or upgrade, taking notes along the way for future referrence.
What are the key components typically included in most motherboards sold today?
As in what makes a computer or what's soldered/built into the motherboard? If it is the latter, then most motherboards consist of a standard I/O panel compromising of a sound jack, ethernet port and usb configurations. However the motherboard itself has a nothbridge, southbridge, bios, cpu socket, (Usually PCI-E or PCI) slots and various external connectors such as SATA 3/6GB/S aswell as IDE ports for the old legacy hard-drive interfaces. There's much, much more...
What are the components of the cardiac monitor?
cables, and disposable supplies such as electrode patches, pressure transducers, a pulmonary artery catheter (Swan-Ganz catheter), and an arterial blood saturation probe
Transmitting with more than one antenna or path.
A more detailed answerTransmit diversity is radio communication using signals that originate from two or more independent sources that have been modulated with identical information-bearing signals and that may vary in their transmission characteristics at any given instant. It can help overcome the effects of fading, outages, and circuit failures.
When using diversity transmission and reception, the amount of received signal improvement depends on the independence of the fading characteristics of the signal as well as circuit outages and failures.
How power is transmitted from the motherboard to the expansion cards?
The expansion slots have pins dedicated to supplying power to the card.
Some cards, such as high-end graphics, have power requirements that outstrip those proved by the motherboard. These cards have Molex type connectors to take a disk-drive type power connector straight from the PC's powersupply unit.
How do you take apart a Dell computer tower dimension 2400?

I want to be able to run pretty graphical intense games and do video encoding quickish and also use it for programs.
I dont really have a budget in mind but lower cost the better plus I would want water cooling (who doesn't)
Opposite to Random access memory?
Sequential access memory. Typically implemented with long shift registers, acoustic delay lines, or fixed head magnetic drums/disks.
What types of expansion cards would be installed in a pci slot?
All types where available from video to Harddrives. This is obsolete now and the parts are hard to find. I never saw memory, cache, or processor expansions. I own a flash card for a PCI slot. : ) It has no connections and I still don't know what it's for. But win98 finds it.
What is the recommended CMOS setting for IDE hard drives?
For almost all modern computers and hard drives, the only settings you should set is for the parameters of the disk to be detected automatically.
Is a desktop card required to use a wireless adapter?
A USB wireless adapter will work just fine on a desktop.
A PCMCIA (cardbus) wireless adapter may present problems as most desktops do not have PCMCIA slots. There are ways around this problem however, such as pcmcia-to-PCI adapter cards & the like.
It means to make a copy of the CD. Or it means to download the music on to a computer, mp3, ect.
Is a vga connector hardware or software?
A VGA connector is Hardware.
Hardware is any physical. For example your hard-drive is hardware.
Software is what uses and controls the hardware. So any programs that you have installed on your computer is software.
Will a dial-up modem from a Windows 98 PC work in a Windows 95 PC?

What is the difference between a LAN card and a Modem?
The difference between a Lan Card and a modem are this - A Lan card is a card that you slide into the side of a laptop and it can allow you the ability to get onto a network wirelessly. A Lan card for a PC allows a Lan connection by way of a CAT 5 cable that will allow you to get onto the internet or if a crossover cable is attached to your PC to another you are directly connected to the network. A modem is a piece of hardware that is installed into a slot in the PC that will allow you the ability to get onto the internet by attaching a phone line to it through the RJ 11 jack (which it comes with 2 rj11 jacks on it)

What are four organizations that govern scsi standards?

What is a serial wire used for?
A serial wire can be used for several uses. Mainly, it's used for basic communication between different devices. The main advantage is the fact that serial communication can use only three wires. Parallel requires several more, typically eight, or sixteen, plus signalling, and traditionally is faster. But for simple communication between devices, which could be computers or other devices, serial communication can simplify things. Serial communication can also be used for great distances. The telegraph was serial communication. Hence "AT&T"!
Which hardware component will you use to save illustrations onto the computer?
A hard-drive or other form of recordable media such as CDs/DVDs/Flash Drives. But as this is clearly a homework question, your teacher wants hard drive.
How a memory stick can be safely removed from the computer?
This depends on what you mean by memory stick:
Internal Memory: (Random Access Memory, the chips you don't see unless you open up the computer)
To remove RAM, the procedure varies by computer. In this case, if you are not comfortable doing so I would contact a technician, as was previously suggested.
Now, if you mean a Flash Drive (one you carry with you to hold your files), than that is a different story. To safely remove that:
In windows - In the bottom right corner hold your mouse over the small icons until you see one that reads "Safely remove hardware...". Right-click and when the menu opens, left click. This will bring up the main menu to stop and remove hardware. Follow the on-screen instructions.
On a Mac - Drag the picture of your flash drive that is on the desktop, to the trash bin.
You may then remove the flash drive safely.
Cheers
