The RS 232 interface is one of the standards used in serial communications. It uses serial signals (as opposed to parallel) to connect computers to devices like printers and modems.

DDR Memory is sometimes sold in pairs, for those setting up dual channel systems.

Dual Channelling sorta like setting up a RAID array of RAM.

Note that RAM labelled as being dual channel isn't any different then regular RAM its just two sticks of the same size.

Some memory used in dual channel boards do not behave well when paired with other brands sometimes they do not even behave well when paired even with same brand and model. Paired DDR RAM assures the user that it has been tested by the manufacturer to behave well.

The modules aren't just the same size; they are also the same speed and latency rating. Typically the chips are the same production batch and that increases the likelihood that the paired modules will work approximately at the same speed, therefore being detected (and usable) as dual-channel.It's like a cross-country trip with two cars - if car A is a performance car driven by an aggressive driver and car B is an econobox driven by a little old lady, then A can go no faster than B if both are to arrive at the same destination at the same time. If B is too slow, A may just sit and wait at the destination for a few days - you've essentially dropped into single channel mode performance, and the bios will usually detect this significant of a difference and not allow dual-channel mode.

second answer is not correct, it does not matter who makes the ram chip, it all works correctly together, but buying dual channel set is cheaper, what im about to write is where 2nd answer is *confused* at. If you have 2 ram chips same size but diffrent speeds say one is 555 and the other is 667 then the one that is higher has to lower its performance to match the 555, which takes away from the available ram on the computer. thus buying dual channel kits saves you both money and lets you keep the amount of ram you have installed, i currently have 4 gigs installed, 4 1gig sticks, 2 are 555's 1 is 667 and the other is 800, which after matching the 555's i have 3.25 available.

In order to connect a monitor via a USB connection you'd need a software driver that will format and compress the video data and send it to a USB port and you'd also need a monitor that can decode the video data on the USB cable and display it.

While there are USB cameras (webcams and some video cameras) that send video over USB there are not any widely used standards that I am aware of which is why you need device driver software from the particular manufacturer to get a device to work.

Also, I am not aware of any monitors that will render video input via USB. Even High Speed USB 2 is limited to 480 Megabits per second. A VGA picture is 640X480 pixels multiplied by 32 bits of color multiplied by 30 frames per second yeilds about 295 Megabits per second. Or you could do 1024x768 x 16 bit color x 30 frames per second for 377 Megabits per second.

So it is theoretically possible to transmit acceptable digital resolutions over USB2 but it is not commonly done so the software and equipment is likely more expensive than a new Media PC would be.

If the problem is that the screen if fading and the "screen" is an LCD monitor then it may be possible to get someone who repairs laptops to replace the fluorescent backlight tubes and restore the display. While that might cost more than you want to invest in an old system it would be far cheaper than software and hardware needed to run video over USB.

If the connection to the integrated monitor is actually an analog VGA connection you could make an adapter cable for a regular VGA monitor. This would requrire that you verify the signals running to the current monitor and figure out which is red, blue, green, ground, horizontal sync and vertical sync and then make a new connector. However, that's probably more work than you want to go through in the "short term."

If your laptop screen does not show anything - not even a manufacturers/Microsoft logo during start, it is likely your screen is broken.

If your laptop-screen shows a very faint picture, it is likely the back light of your laptop screen is broken / disconnected.

The previous generation of televisions were known as CRT televisions. CRT stands for cathode ray tube. The tube sent a stream of electrons from the back of the tube to the front phosphor coated glass face. The electrons caused the phosphors to glow according to the intensity of the electron beam.

This would generally be observed on a laptop/notebook system when you are using the integrated screen and do not have an external monitor attached. If you try to switch from one display to the other, it will tell you it has no external display to switch to.

Not neccesarily. Check your video card first. You may have a loose connection on either end of your monitor cable. You could also try to see if you have any dust in the connectors. If so, CAREFULLY clean the connector(s) out by GENTLY blowing the dust away. If this problem isn't resolved, try a new graphics card. It will be a lot cheaper than a new monitor. You may also want to check your settings on your monitor. Even though it is highly unlikely, something could have gotten changed...If all else fails, but another monitor. If you have a CRT (a really big one from the Dinosaur age) forget everything I have said and get yourself a new one. That one won't make it through the month.

1)first find if the plugin software is installed in your system

2) If installed means fault in your walkman only first check it out.
