The world's first mechanical clock was not invented to tell the time. It was invented to regulate the sex life of the Emperor of China. In the ancient China of the Tang dynasty, in the 8th century AD, the emperor's heir was not necessarily his firstborn son. The heir was chosen by the court astrologist according to his astrological suitability. And, for the Chinese, the most important thing astrologically was not when the child was born, but when he was conceived. So, the timing of the Emperor's lovemaking was vital matter of state importance. The exact moment of the conception of each child had to be witnessed and recorded. But, this was complicated by the fact that he shared his marital bed with no less than 121 women, not all at the same time, of course. And, that was another problem because there was a strict order in which the women of the court should attend the Emperor's bed. It all had to be monitored in the minutest detail.
In 723, the horrendous logistics of the Emperor's bed drove a Buddhist monk, by the name of Izing to invent a water driven, spherical, bird's eye view map of the heavens, clock. It was also known as the first mechanical clock in this world.

This limits the amount of sunlight in the afternoon, which I believe is the most important, considering scholars and such have a knack of wandering outside at these hours, and the lack of daylight increasingly limits their freedom. So, I guess the best answer to your question is a non-linear one; Daylight Savings Time just helps people get up early to get to work by extending the amount of daylight during the morning. Other than that, it's kind of pointless, as most people don't remember their mornings as well as they do their afternoons, and since the afternoon daylight hours are restricted by DST, it only creates more questions than it "answers."

I believe that if it is possible for time to slow down or stand still, it is possible for time to go backward. My theory is that if the direction of time couldn't be altered, it would be standing still permanently. But since time doesn't stand still, obviously, the direction of time can be changed, though most of us on Earth don't know how to do it.

Where is your owner's manual which contains this information? As I happen to own a 2004 Accord which is the same as yours, I can tell you. Press and hold the SOUND button. Change the hours by pressing the H (Preset 4) side of the bar until the numbers advance to the desired time. Change the minutes by pressing the M(Preset 5) side of the bar until the desired time is achieved. When you are done press the SOUND button again. The H and M under the presets is almost impossible to see, but they are there. Now go get you an owner's manual/ Dealer, Ebay, Salvage Yard, and numerous we sites.
