What are some pros and cons of massage therapy?
I would say the pro's are obvious. Relaxation, Detox, Rejuvenation, Skincare and Stress relief. I know this because I've just had my first massage therapy session last night.
The cons i would say are simply this- Because massage therapy is not a solution to the problem or a cure for the stress, it unfortunately becomes quite a costly and repetitive treatment. I mean, like I'm already considering booking my next session.
The sad part is that massage therapy is based on the healing and soothing qualities of the human touch. It is not some ancient secret hidden deep in the Himalayan mountains. Its real and its all around us, all the time. Have you ever had a hug? Case closed.
Is it ethical to cut down trees?
Certainly. Though it should be done in a manner that does as little harm to the environment as possible.
What is bad about road building in the amazon?
In order to build roads, you have to cut down trees -- in the Amazon, this destroys large tracts of land because the soil is so poor that when you tear up any small part, the whole area starts eroding during the rainy season because the tree roots holding down the soil are gone. Also, the Amazon produces the most oxygen on the planet, so tearing down trees is reducing the amount of oxygen we can breathe.
How do rainforests suffer from deforestation?
Deforestation means "removal of the forest" - what can possibly be worse for a forest - all the forest and everything that lived in it is killed and burned.
Why is it appropriate that Malcolm give the order to cut down trees for use as camouflage?
Malcolm's plans to camouflage themselves (soliders) with tree branches from Birnam Wood, so Macbeth would not notice them coming until it was too late. This plan fulfilled one of the prophecies of the witches, that Macbeth will have nothing to fear until Birnam Wood begins to move.
Trees can cause several problems, particularly when they are improperly placed or maintained. Their roots may damage sidewalks, driveways, and foundations, leading to costly repairs. Additionally, large trees can obstruct power lines, increasing the risk of outages during storms, and they may harbor pests or diseases that can spread to nearby plants and structures. In some cases, fallen branches or entire trees can pose safety hazards during severe weather events.
How long will the rainforest last?
Experts estimate that the last remaining rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years.

If deforestation continues at current rates, scientists estimate nearly 80 to 90% of tropical rainforest ecosystems will be destroyed by the year 2020.

Does biomass energy harm wildlife habitats?
Burning biomass (plant and wood material) should not harm wildlife habitats, if the vegetation comes from the residue of farm crops. In some parts of the world the stalks of sugar cane (bagasse) are burnt after the sugar has been extracted. This is useful. Other farm crops (corn etc) can be used.
If wildlife habitats are cut down for biomass then they will obviously be harmed and the animals endangered. This is not proper management.
Biomass is being used today because it is a way of generating electricity without adding to the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Biomass is renewable energy and better than burning fossil fuels.
Where are most of boreal forests located?
Most boreal forests, also known as taiga, are located in the Northern Hemisphere, primarily across Canada, Alaska, Russia, and parts of Scandinavia. These forests thrive in regions characterized by long, cold winters and short, cool summers. Boreal forests are the world’s largest terrestrial biome, playing a crucial role in carbon storage and global climate regulation.
Farming in arid and semi arid areas using water harvesting techniques is neither reclamation or ecological restoration. It is called irrigation.
How do you avoid the dam shank?
To avoid the dreaded "shank" whilst pitching/chipping take up your normal stance and when comfortable shuffle your feet back (away from ball) maybe a few inches not so that you are stretching but just mildly uncomfortable .. then swing as you would normally makin sure you DO NOT LIFT YOUR HEAD (major fault) .. This routine has worked for me for over 20 years (never shanked since I adopted it) keeping your head as still as possible throughout your full swing will gain better control on all shots... But be warned do not strain your head to stay still it is important to relax let the flow of your swing bring your head up as you turn through to finish.... Good Luck
