Can you receive disability benefits and section 8 benefits at the same time in Florida?
Those are two totally different benefits that have no pertinence to each other. But to answer your question, this depends on how much your disability benefits are: if you are paid too much benefit money, you may not qualify for Section 8. Note that this depends more on how much the rent is vs. how much money you are paid each month.
If your employer does not provide maternity benefits can you get short term disability in Colordado?
Short term disability is a great way to create maternity leave pay for yourself, while also protecting your family in case of pregnancy complications, delivery complications, premature birth, accidents and illnesses.
Short term disability is available in Colorado as a voluntary employee benefit. There is no direct cost to your employer, as you pay the premium via payroll deduction.
How much will you owe at the end of the year when on social security disability?
Don't quote me on this as I really don't know for sure, but I'm on SSDI, and if I were to get a job that pays well enough for Social Security to say that I don't need them to pay me anymore, I wouldn't expect them to say that all of the checks that Social Security gave me in the past seven years, I would have to pay back. which would be somewhere in the ballpark of $63,000. There would be no way I could ever pay that amount back.
Now if Social Security was paying me my checks for all these years and then found out that I was working and getting paid enough where Social Security wouldn't need to pay me and I wasn't telling Social Security, then I believe that Social Security would have me pay the amount that Social Security gave me and if I didn't pay it back, Social Security would sue me.
Does a person with Asperger's Syndrome qualify for social security disability benefits?
that is likely a yes since there are usually more limited to the types of work they can do, mostly social and physical. Plus the developmental delays in autism can make it difficult for holding a job.
A better way to frame that would be 'Whom does Aflac insure?"
Aflac insures people. It is supplemental health insurance, although they also sell disability, which is a form of income insurance.
Do you have to be employed to receive disability?
No. It's possible to buy Disablity Coverage while employed, then get disabled while unemployed. There are many types of Disability Coverage.... State Disability, Social Security Disability, Private Individual, etc.
Can social security disability overpayment be discharged if I file Bankruptcy?
Social Security Disability is, of course, a payment from a federal agency. While there is no rule specifically on Social Security Disability, the general rule is that any funds received from a federal agency by fraud (in a petition filed on or after October 17, 2005) cannot be discharged. If the overpayment did not occur because of fraud, it will be discharged.
In order to prove fraud, the SSA must show, in the bankruptcy court, that the overpayments were due to fraud.

Do you pay taxes on all or part of your social security benefits?
Social Security is taxable when your provisional income exceeds a base amount of $25,000 for single taxpayers and $32,000 for married / head of household taxpayers. Up to 50%, but no more than 85%, of your Social Security benefits can be taxable in a calendar year.
I'm not sure, but I called social security a few days ago to tell them I would be moving to Washington state and they said to visit the social security office because there was a possibility I could get more money through the state. Don't know if that helps, but when you get to your new state go to the social security off. Also, there is something called the QMB program. You can apply at the Health and Human Services Department to get it. It is where the state will pay for your medicare premium instead of it coming out of your monthly disability check. Luckily I had a case manager that helped me out with that little tid bit. I get an extra hundred dollars because of it. It's not a lot but it helps.
No, disability payments do not increase if you move to another state. I can only say this from experience. If you moved somewhere with a high cost of living, it might be possible but still doubtful. If that was the case I could move to Beverly hills where the cost of living is very high and have a huge pay increase, which if it were possible, would probably be abused. Which is why it's probably not possible. I believe payments are calculated on a nationwide level among other factors.
Getting married can reduce your SSI benefit or cause the payments to stop altogether -- it depends on your wife's income. If she has a large income you will probably lose some and maybe all. If she has a meager income probably not.
If you want help calculating your possible loss of benefits, contact your local Social Security office
Each case is different with the Social Security Administration. Some people can marry and not lose any benefits. You can speak to an agent and ask about your certain case.
Both depend upon where you work, the amount of income earned while working in each state, and the amount paid into the system by payroll deduction. You will want to collect from the NJ disability plan as it replaces up to $561 per week, while NY pays only $170 per week.
Because the disability and lack of available work were no fault of your own should be no reason you would not be eligible for unemployment, on those issues.
Can you collect social security disability for flatfeet?
No, to collect social security disability you must not be able to work any job in the national economy.
You collect disability only if you show that you are unable to perform work, not that you worked as long as you have. If you worked eight years and there are justifiable reasons for quitting, as determined by your state's employment security office then you might be eligible for unemployment benefits. This has nothing to do with the Social Security you are presently receiving.

Can you collect disability from the state of Illinois?

You can get short term disability in Illinois by through your employer, or by working with an agent.
It depends on the STD contract, so whether or not they can do this can vary from contract to contract.
The first step is to ask the STD insurance company to provide you with the exact wording in their policy which states that their liability is reduced due to auto insurance benefits and/or settlements. Typically such provisions will exist, but almost always it will specify that the reduction only includes the portion of the auto insurance payments that are made for lost wages (or "wage loss benefits" as they are often called). Other monies (such as for the damage to your car, for medical bills, your own lawyer's fees or pain and suffering if applicable) typically should NOT affect your STD benefit, even if they are co-mingled and paid out in a single check.
Not always, but often (especially in richer STD contracts), the STD policy will specify only that "No-Fault Wage Loss" (and/or "No-Fault Wage Loss Benefits required by a state or other jurisdiction") will reduce their benefit. These wordings provide a higher (narrower) standard than just merely considering any wage loss benefits, and is a difference worth paying attention to. Whether or not the payments are No-Fault Wage Loss benefits vs. just regular Wage Loss benefits is something probably only the auto insurance company can answer, as it can get very complicated: Some states require no-fault wage loss coverage, some make it optional with special consequences, and driving in a state other than where you live, driving a rental car, a company-owned car, or simply a car that you do not own could also affect exactly what sort of wage loss benefits you are entitled to and how they are characterized.
If the disability claims analyst is good at their job, they will verify with the auto insurer what the payments actually represent before making their determination. Most of the time they are correct, and it is likely that you will indeed need to pay some or all of those monies back to the STD insurer. That being said, I have seen in a few rare cases where the STD carrier attempted to collect wage loss auto benefits based on assumptions without actually verifying the details, and ended up being wrong. For example, if the no-fault wage loss auto benefits were purchased voluntarily (not required by law) and the STD analyst doesn't even realize that option is possible, they may make certain assumptions about how it is treated just because they've never seen it any other way. Due to the wording in the STD contract, it is possible that such (voluntary) wage-loss benefits in fact could meet the STD contract's definition of other individual (non-group) STD insurance and therefore untouchable, even though it happened to be purchased through an auto carrier.
So you need to be careful and verify it yourself with the auto insurer, STD policy in hand, before you will know for sure if its being handled correctly. Contacting your insurance broker and/or an attorney may also provide you with additional counsel and advice.

Can you be fired while on disability?
As far as I know, when you are on disability your are to return to your employer with either the same or similar position. They can give away your position, but you are allowed back onto the job with a similar or same position. For example, you stock shelves in a store in Dept A. making $$ an hour. You go on disability and they put another person in your spot. When you return to work after being on disability your employer is obligated to have you stock shelves as before at $$ per hour, but it may be in a Dept B.
I hope that makes sense. I would fill out the FMLA form because that protects you.
